Organizations need to be aware of what they need in leaders in order to maximize the leader's own skills. While there are many different leadership theories that try to explain why leaders are effective, the bottom line comes down to whether a leader can deliver results from their subordinates in a given situation. Each situation is unique and requires the leaders to step up and make the difference through influence. The various skills might provide the leader with a tool box, but the ultimate determining factor in leadership success is the DESIRE to be an INFLUENTIAL leader.
