People try to bring Spielberg off of his throne just because he is there. He got there on his own. He deserves it. After he is gone all the hate will stop and he will live on forever as the great filmmaker he is. Congratulations to him for achieving his goals.

I am a leader and these movies mentioned above were suppose to be good leader movies. I highly doubt it!

Mike you are an ignorant and arrogant tool. In reality, Spielberg's dramas are more powerful and complex than anyone else's... ever. From the maginficent opening to "Amistad" to incredibly complex "Munich" and heartbreaking "A.I." (yes, it's a drama), his films have always connected with viewers like me.

Posters like Mike only prove that Spielberg's range is far greater than some of viewers.

"Spielberg's best rebuttals are films like The Color Purple and Schindler's List, works that explore the internal struggles of complex characters living in tough times, whether the Jim Crow South or Nazi Germany."

Schindler's List and Color Purple are hardly "rebuttals". Time has not been kind to these films, and they have been proven to be every bit as juvenile and intellectually dishonest as his lighter fluff.
