Hoping to build public support for an imminent military strike in Syria, the Obama administration publicly released a report Friday on the alleged use of chemical weapons August 21 by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his regime against rebel forces and Syrian citizens.
Britain’s parliament voted against a military intervention late Thursday, but President Barack Obama has the support of French President Francois Hollande. The American public largely opposes intervention, however, and Congress is also divided.
