The Webby's Meme of the Year Award may be the next launching pad for Hollywood stars, as its 2013 winner, "Grumpy Cat" could be getting her own movie. Deadline reports that the production company Broken Road is in talks with Grumpy Cat's reps (yes, the cat has reps) to make "a Garfield-like feature film," starring the Internet sensation. Those living outside the Tumblr community are likely unfamiliar with Grumpy Cat, so here, for you, a FAQ:
So, what's the deal with a cat being so famous?
The cat's owner Tabatha Bundesen and her brother first posted her picture on the online social sharing site Reddit in September of last year, where it gained a ton of attention, for, well, the grumpy look on the cat's face. Pretty soon, the Internet community started to create memes of the cat's image – pictures with silly comments and the like. Since then, her popularity has spawned fan sites, T-shirts, books, wall calendars, you name it.

So why is the cat so grumpy?
The look on her face is due to feline dwarfism. According to the cat's owner, she is actually quite cuddly.
Then why did she name it "Grumpy Cat"?
Actually the cat's name is "Tardar Sauce" – "Tard" for short. Grumpy Cat is more of a persona.
Is there actually a market for a Grumpy Cat movie?
Grumpy Cat's official Facebook page has nearly one million likes and the unofficial Grumpy Cat Twitter account has nearly 400,000 followers. In addition to an online presence that won Grumpy Cat the Webby, the cat drew the crowds at music and tech festival SXSW. Grumpy Cat has also already made it to the big screen, appearing in the documentary "Lil Bub and Friendz," which screened at the Tribeca Film Festival.

How much money is Grumpy Cat making for, you know, looking grumpy?
Will all this fame go to Grumpy Cat's head?
Because of her dwarfism condition, Grumpy Cat walks with a bit of a wobble, so hopefully that will keep her humble.
