It is fair to say that rock musician Ted Nugent will never be labeled as a moderate.
In fact, the mere notion of the idea is not something the rocker-activist is comfortable with—just watch his interview with CBS This Morning that aired Friday.
Nugent unleashed an expletive-filled tirade when he was asked about his recent comments about President Obama which prompted a Secret Service investigation.
During a National Rifle Association convention in April, Nugent said that "if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year." He also went to say that the president, vice president Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were "criminals." The Secret Service talked to Nugent about the comments, and the situation was resolved without any action taken.
In another interview excerpt, Nugent says Mitt Romney's campaign has reached out to him since the comments, telling him to "stay on course" for the remainder of the election cycle.
In the full interview, Nugent calls the meeting he had with Secret Service "adorable," that today's political landscape "calls for acclerated activism," and he is "a perfect human being."
