In a move made to target younger voters, President Barack Obama will return to the late night talk show circuit next week in order to pitch his message about student loan rates.

Two tweets Friday indicated that the president will be making an April 24 appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The segment of the top-rated NBC show will be taped at UNC-Chapel Hill, which is one of three stops Obama will make next week where he plans to pressure republicans into extending a measure that would keep student loan rates around 3.4 percent.
April 24 also happens to be a primary night, with five states casting ballots for the 2012 presidential nominees, including Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New York.
Obama has made several appearances on late night talk shows, including 2009 appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Jimmy Fallon's show did get into a recent political spat after The Roots, the show's house band, took a subtle dig at Rep. Michelle Bachmann when she was introduced during an apperance this past November. Fallon later took to Twitter to apologize to the former GOP presidential nominee hopeful.
President Obama probably won't face the same scrutiny from Fallon's band. The Roots have been the musical guests at a number of the president's public apperances in recent years.
