Argh. If we did shoot the North Korean Missile down, it would have been through the Airborne Laser program (recently cancelled, plane mothballed) Or one of the other laser program relatives which have been more successful. shooting this thing from space is dubious. I the airborne laser had a TON of problems- and that was housed in a 747.

More likely their incompetence or perhaps sabotage.

I mean if the Israelis can mess with the machinery making nuclear material in Iran... then perhaps...

China or Russia or whomever, really didn't want the North Koreans to have the tech- just wanted the cash.

Does anyone realize the N Korea rocket did not fail and was actually shot down? C'mon people, most of you have heard of this X-37B and no doubt the ship does, in fact, carry passengers and does, in fact, have in operation a laser. This laser is capable of destroying any rocket without anyone noticing...I thought the people in the world were a bit brighter and here we go again with me having to remind everyone about the Web of Lies and opposite days game. Any thing you read is lies and every thing can be put in perspective using the opposite days game theory. Oh, here is where the space plane was at time of launch...Reports say that the X-37B, a system controlled space plane sent by the U.S. air force in the orbit was supposed to keep a check on the activities done at the newly built space station in China. But there are no confirmations or statements about its purpose or mission in the space from the Pentagon. Just a stones throw away from N Korea. and about the statement "Game changing" really now...what more do you people need to believe it has a laser to knock out any rocket or such? Hmmm...

Not to mention the Chinese space station launched half a year later than the X-37...

Not to mention the fact the X-37 was in orbit long long before the Tiangong was launched (last March versus September for China). China launched months later.

It is not orbiting near the Chinese space station! Certain news writers keep writing this, but no, just because it is in roughly the same inclination (latitude) orbit, does not mean it is anywhere near it which it is not.
