CBO: Longest Period of High Unemployment Since Great Depression

When Republicans are in charge, the lamestream media reports "worst economy in 50 year". Each and every time.

When Democrats are in charge, the economy is the worst in 70 years and the lamestream media is silent. Each and every time.

Dems are lucky. There are more stupid voters than voters who pay attention. That explain their media advantage.

Yep, if you voted for Oblamer, I mean you.

And now Obama said take away five months of unemployment extensions. You cannot buy soap on aid. You cannot buy laundry detergent (where will you get quarters for laundry), dish soap, paper towels, tissues, tampons, shampoo, toothpaste, sponges or a lightbulb on aid. If you don't have kids and are not 65, you do not have any cash on aid, there is no allowance for soap. That is where we are without five more months of unemployment: on aid with no bus money to go to a job interview.

Why would anyone with half a brain vote for Obama based on this one statistic alone, 15% unemployment. Not only is unemployment so high but inflation we haven't seen for 30 years is creeping up, Home sales still at record lows, housing prices still declining. Food stamps at all time high, welfare at all time high, illegal immigrants pouring over the border, gasoline and heating fuel prices skyrocketing. Our Military gutted by two thirds, Obama wants to reduce our nuclear arsenal by 80%, less than Chinas. Threat of war in Middle East highest in 25 years. Obama declares war on domestic drilling for oil, Obama declares war on private enterprise. Obama has increased deficit by $5.2 Trillion dollars, five times as high as Bush.

The recession of 1920 was so short in duration that most people know nothing of it. "The Great Depression" was after the 1930 recession, and we were recovering, when FDR decided he "had to do something". Most people say WWII ended the depression. Not so. FDR's death ended the depression.

Bernanke studied the Great Depression and decided he knew what was done wrong and he knew the right way to meddle and end a recession. Ha. Is there a "right way" to drive a post in the ground with your forehead?

Thank you President Obama and your Liberal Democrats.

Big problem, simple solution.

Note to my fellow US Citizens: Never ever vote for a Democrat again – Never! Ever!

Funny, under Ronald Reagan the economy soared, even under Bush the economy was very good, he being no conservative. Under Der ObaMeinFuhrer and his fascist policies, the economy is in the tank and above the fold of this story is Warren Buffets fat face. Seems that under Obama the rich get richer but under conservatives leadership, everyone does well. How bout that.

It's academic at this point though, we're at the tipping point whereby the gene pool is going to get a good scrubbing. Fasten your seatbelts, Obama has 10 more months of unbridled destruction.

See, I understand the CBO and their reports and they are generally always wrong. But they are never wrong because they over estimate. They underestimate everything by a huge margin and they use the most ridiculous accounting. As a CPA if I were to have analyzed this government's general ledger in the years preceding the downturn I would have been fired. Unemployment is going to stay above 8 for sure, and way after 2014. People are leaving the workforce and the solution is to extend unemployment benefits to artificially create the appearance of of a recovery for short term political purposes. So what I have done is take the time to learn how to survive after this government inevitably collapses and I hope that the website I have created to document what I have learned is beneficial to someone or some family out there. http://how-to-survive-the-apocalypse.blogspot.com

ObamaCare is this century's Smoot-Hawley Act, paralyzing employers, extending a recession into a depression, and many other similar correlations, and those in charge are too proud of their "accomplishment" to connect the cause with the effect. Doing so would indict Obamacare and the proponents for socialized medicine.

Just as FDR's policies slowed business to a crawl in the 30's, Obama and Reid-Pelosi's policies have slowed this decade's recovery to a crawl. SO many employers have squarely laid the blame on this administration for the lack of growth and subsequent hiring that it's impossible not to draw these conclusions.
