Hey Marcie

When was the last time you were invited to your fellow republicans house for dinner. When was the last time your wife was invited to go shopping with your fellow republicans wife? Would your fellow republicans let your son marry their daughter? You are not as equal as you may think. I bet you a beer, you will not be on the VP ticket of any republican candidate.

It shocks me every time I read an article about the leadership qualities of Marco Rubio. I can only assume those who write about him, or those who believe him to be some leader, don’t reside in the State of Florida. Rubio was in the state house during the housing bubble, even serving as the Speaker from 2006-2008. The budget’s passed under his leadership had been identified by the Florida Tax Watch as having the greatest amount of pork spending (which we term “turkeys”). His handpicked second in charge, who succeeded Rubio as Speaker, was forced to resign after being indicted for bribery type charges. Rubio himself was in the middle of what Floridians remember as the “American Express” scandal, where several of the top Republican lawmakers had seemingly abused party issued credit cards, paid for by donors. Recently, Rubio was caught embellishing his family’s plight from Cuba many years ago. It really speaks volumes that this is the best Conservatives have to offer.

O.k. but how about editing first sentence reference

to "short" list instead of "shot" list?

Marco Rubio speaks to and of the American Dream, where everyone has the opportunity to achieve what is important.(to that individual) There is no jealousy, no rancor, no belittling anyone. He just states fact and without apology. He cuts through the politics and slander and yet is strong on message. We need to listen to what is being said...not the naysayers and probably "paid" hacks who denigrate an honorable man. Every time someone who is conservative...seems to be doing well, the hack jobs and political assassins come out from under some rock and then "fun" begins. If you never paid attention to politics...now is the time. Don't let political assassins pick your next President and Vice President.

"Unlike any other leader in modern American history, we are led today by a president that has decided to pit Americans against each other,"

First of all, this is an untrue statement on its face. Second of all, apparently, the esteemed Senator from my state does not have a good grasp of history, even the history of his own party -- ever heard of Teddy Roosevelt?

No Republican should ever mention ANY class. This country needs to be pulled back together, not divided further by the common character flaw of envy. Shuck the tax code which propagates the class system through tax brackets. Stop taxing income and start taxing spending (consumption).

The FairTax would be a huge step in the right direction.

A true patriot. I think Sen. Rubio's economy of words says it all -- a real conservative can succinctly and consistently articulate his values. I voted for Obama because I heard what I wanted to hear from his vagueries. I know better now. I don't identify with either major political party, but as hardworking citizen who takes personal responsibility for my own actions, I identify with Sen. Rubio's words.

Rubio who? He is a lieyer and a trator to his people's cause. he can't even get his family history correct. Rubio is out for himself and opposes everything that will help so many poor people in huis own community. All that glitters is not gold, indeed!
