Egypt's Military Aid From U.S. Could Disappear Over Raid Arrests

Tussle over non-government organization raids within Egypt could have enormous impact on military aid

Ottaway said the Egyptian military has so far proved unwilling to get involved in the pending court cases of the American NGO workers. That could push those cases beyond the date of when the Obama administration would have to give Congress the needed certifications that would allow the military aid dollars to be released.

"The courts in Egypt move very slowly," Ottaway said. "Both sides have painted themselves into a corner."

Why are we giving them one billion dollars when we are cutting our military because of or debt crises and we are borrowing money from china. Stop giving money to help the military of foreign countries, when we are weaking our own military might with budget cuts.
