I hope Mark goes down in flames. I can't stand facebook. I no longer have a real account and guess what, I can still live life to it's fullest without facebook. hint hint!

Unfortunately, there are still tons of similar telephone scams out there… There is an iPhone app recently released, called Scam Detector, which exposes over 500 of the most notorious scams. It is worth checking it out, if you have an iPhone. The app is also online, if interested: www.scam-detector.com. Kinda cool, actually."

I think Facebook reminds me of the fairy tale , "The King's New Clothes." Their "Product" is billions of people posting what they had for supper or pictures that people used to groan at viewing when someone pulled them out at a family gathering. Is there a single Facebook page that is so awesome people subscribe and pay real money to look at it? Their ads on the right side of the screen are jokes. Get rich quick scams, lose extra weight, 4 choice or less surveys, etc. Where does the revenue to support Facebook come from? Certainly not subscriptions like Cable and Dish use or you have to watch ads like TV programming make revenue with. I think it is an illusion of success. A billion people are now paying nothing for their product so they must be onto something, right? Remember pets.com in 2001? Deja vu.

$5 billion is still a lot of money - and I suppose they had to do it - but I think there will be quite a bit of disappointment with the lowering of the amount. They're raising a lower amount of cash plus they have to now act like a public company and reveal everything about their numbers. Definitely a lot of risk here considering users are really starting to hate the site. This could be yet another misstep.
