All these people talking negatively about any opportunity offered to save a struggling America should be ashamed. I hope they are well-off as well as all their families and friends. There will be a reckoning one day, and us little guys may be on top. Hopefully at that time they won't be so uncaring as the ones on top now.

Owe over a million in mortages have 4 house can't refin a single one of them because none are FHA all houses are under water. Our Credit scores are in the 800's current mortage rates are 6% and 4.6% It would be wonderful to refinance maybe then we be able to afford to be a two car family. Hope Obama's plan becomes a reality.

I feel this needs to pass thru my wife & I are stuck with a BOA mortgage @ 5% from 2009 we tried to convert the mortgage over to another bank but by 2010 the property had already lost 15K in value due to the Foreclosures and people just selling off there houses fro what ever they could get for them. Now 2012 values are even lower bought out house for 180K now valued @ 155,800.00 Per zillow.com

Congress needs to get this done. Homeowners are trapped and being held hostage by bondholders that are reaping the benefits of high yielding mortgage backed securities. If responsible homeowners had alternative options, privately held mortgage companies would quickly find ways to refinance these underwater mortgages for fear of losing these otherwise strong assets.
