People with bad disabilities can not work. Thkey can not work to make money. They need food stamps. I am braindamaged and blind. I only get $728 SS. Disabled people would be starving.

Before we pass judgement on obama we have to recognize who put us in the economic downfall in the first place. I personally believe regan is ultimately responsible for current economic issues but I'm sure people will hate me for saying so.

I can't believe someone is calling soldiers lazy if they can't find work. What a creep you are. Why don't some of your coward selves do all the fighting and dying!

the better measure whether who is the Food Stamp President is this...

1. How many food stamp users are there during the start of the 2nd Pres. Bush's term and how many during his end term... what is the number increase percent?

2. How many food stamp users are there during the Obama administration from start to present... what is the number increase percent?

if the answer in number 1 is bigger than number 2, then 2nd Pres. Bush is more a Food Stamp President than Obama...

How many returning soldiers families are on food stamps? These folks need to get a job... or we need to start another ,otherwise senseless, war somewhere. We're encouraging laziness in our returning soldiers by giving them food stamps. As lazy as the returning WW1 soldiers...looking for handouts. Hoover knew how to handle them. Gingrich is made of the same stern stuff.

Thanks, THEO, for fixing my math. Here's what it should have read:

In FY 2008, there were 28,200,000 X 22% = 6,204,000 blacks on food stamps.

In FY 2011, there were 46,200,000 X 22% = 10,164,000 blacks on food stamps.

Under the Obama administration, the number of blacks on food stamps has INCREASED BY ALMOST 2/3 and now tops 10 million.

who was it who said, to paraphrase, 'the best welfare program is a job'. so, who's got the best forward looking ideas to create jobs?? how to get this country productive again?? we lost our post wwii advantage in the late 70's thereabouts; now we have to truly compete with the rest of the world. it's been wrenching to our society, and will continue to be so until we either become europeanized with undergrads taking 20 years of advanced education on the dole and then graduating into retirement cause there's nothing else to do, or hope that the chinese will welcome millions of americans into their country as whatever pays the bills.

I was the fortunate recipient of food stamps while I was a graduate student and had two young children. I was also the recipient of federal grants that helped pay for my undergraduate education.

I now qualify as a job creator, having invented material that underlies at least 100 new ongoing jobs. I pay more in income taxes every year than the total amount I received in federal aid during a critical period in my youth.

The taxpayers made many good investments in my direction, but many of these important programs have been trimmed, primarily to the benefit of the 0.1 percenters.

Here is a question for Mr. Romney: How much have the Bush tax cuts saved you?

The answer is tens of millions of dollars. For the rest of you -- how many hundred dollars did they save you?
