Im really sick at the moment with some kind of flu. Guess i got it at the store. Too bad most ppl cant stay home like me to avoid infecting others. Surprisingly my baby is not sick and ive coughed on her accidentally and on her food etc. Shes breastfed so i guess shes getting my immunities.

In 1918 my grandfather had the Spanish Flu and that made even AIDS look like a picnic. He survived it, and that's why I'm here to write about it. It killed several million people in a span of a few months. We are due for something like this soon because that's nature's way of keeping population down.

The 2009-10 flu season was called a pandemic NOT because it allegedly killed 17,000 people globally, but because it was across the globe. A "pandemic" is a widespread/global epidemic, not necessarily a lethal one. For example, seasonal flu kills anywhere from 3,000-49,000 people per season globally. Thus, pandemic H1N1 really wasn't a killer --but nobody had immunity, so the whole world was vulnerable. Flu isn't what we need to be afraid of: media scaremongering is.

This flu crap is beginning to get ridiculous here in the US of so called of A! I am an American as most of us are but I think we as most people should not have to live being afraid of government or anyone else! We are people and we are Human, we deserve to be on this earth as much as anyone else does! Yet if everyone thinks about it, as much money as scientists earn and spend each day in research, you cannot keep telling us that there are these ridiculous names of flu's that have been around for ancient times and yet we still have no cure! But on the other hand we do have the vaccinations for children that are recommended at birth and up, because them are or WERE the main worries, now we have all these god forsaken other things popping up out of no where that no one seems to know anything to do about, but yet they do know nothing will fight it off!! every year there is something new now, and lets give it 3 more years im sure there will be maybe 3-4 more strains of the flu out there! or something else. Maybe another dangerous deadly bee (zombified) or maybe a killer mosquito bite again, I think we are our own enemy and all of the funding that is going to the wonderful scientists out there are a danger to us! And if the real truth was known they probably already do have a cure for cancer and they just do not want the people to know..!! Sorry I just do not trust anyone... think about it, does things really go for the better or do they keep getting worse in this country? Foods, animals, our rights, freedom (even with free t.v) , water , birds ,bees ,diseases , government is pushing healthier foods and for why? we all have brains on when to stop eating so much and to limit ourselves dont we? are we 5? I am sorry but its all just a little crazy to fathom. H1N1 and now more H...HV whats that? pretty soon were

years ago it was just called the flu or the cold! now we are naming/rating them like hurricanes. thats sad!! OUR POOR KIDS...!!

I use cotton masks that cover nose/mouth when I'm sick and need to go out. People actually appreciate it that you are trying to keep your air born germs to yourself.

Wow! Reading through the comments is like being on a conspiracy blog. Very entertaining, but misleading too, except for ones like the one about the pandemic in 1918, which could happen again.
