The American Dream Composite Index™ (ADCI) is a unique and robust measure of American sentiment that quantifies the American Dream on a monthly basis. The instrument is the culmination of over three years of research at Xavier University on the American Dream and remains the only statistically validated measure of the American Dream.

The American Dream Composite Index™ in December is 63.04. This was a decrease of 0.05% compared the previous month reading of 63.07 in November 2011. For the month of December, the five components of the ADCI performed as follows: the American Dream Economic Index™ was 60.87 (-0.33% from November), the American Dream Well-Being Index™ was 68.29 (-0.80% from November), the American Dream Societal Index™ was 51.92 (+1.21% from November), the American Dream Diversity Index™ was 73.32 (+0.67% from November), and the American Dream Environment Index™ (ADEVI) was 69.56 (+1.06% from November).
