It really is time to recognize that people who want to work hard, regardless of their country of birth have contributions to make. Many times before, other immigrants were supposedly the end of civilization as we know it: the Irish, the Italians, the Chinese. Instead, each of those groups of people assimilated and either they or their descendants made great contributions. If you agree that immigrants have something to contribute, check us out at www.sharptongue.net. Keep Hardworking Immigrants, Deport Freeloading Americans.

All these gung ho anti immigration folks start producing dozen babies per couple so that USA will have plenty of labor supply.Look at Japan that traditionally does not have immigration and their nation is dying.Build the biggest fences and wipe out all illegals while making no babies or very few babies born to mothers' who have health/drug elated issues, and soon we shall be bigger version of Japan.
The dogs in the Manger do not remember what Jesus said, compassion for fellow humans is not their forte unless the other person is alike them.No capacity to live in peace with different people.Persons speaking other language are less than dogs to you then remember when you die all your deeds will be laid before you at Judgement time.At least the Almighty is not subject to Constitution or USA borders.

What about WW2 war criminals? If they came here after the war and have worked and lived crime free lives, are a member of a local church, have paid their taxes, and been productive members of American society do we give them amnesty for what they did during the war?
We claim this nation to be a nation of laws! The truth is we are not a nation laws because we find one excuse after another for not enforcing our laws or our Constitution~
Recently courts in California impaired contract and made it worthless. When the state and judges were sued for the denial of contract rights caused by that impairment they admitted they have violated the Constitution and denied inherent rights of citizens. However they were given immunity from the suit by a judge in federal court when that judge had no more authority to allow the Constitution to be violated than the original judges. No one is given immunity from our Constitution nor is any branch of govt given authority to create immunity from it.

This is the same song and dance all over again - promising enforcement in exchange for the legalization of the current population of people here illegally. We never saw the enforcement promised in 1986; of course the legalization occurred. Today there are at least 5 times more people who came illegally in hopes of THEIR legalization.
Only when the government takes action and actually clears the workforce of most of the current 8 million people working illegally will I believe that our government is serious about enforcement.
Mandatory E-Verify for all employers now!

"At the end of the day, Obama is not going to get the credit of hard-line restrictionists for record deportations," Noorani says. "He's only going to get the grief from the families that have been destroyed."
=============================
You can lead a horse to water... you cannot make it drink.
If a family is broken up in this country because one or the other of the couple entered illegally, that family can ... easily... legally... get together in the home country of the illegal alien.
Children you say? If one or the other of the couple is a citizen, the children are citizens and can return if they like. Many prefer Mexico by the way. But they can return!
If both parents are illegal aliens, the children are illegal aliens. It is the 14th amendment and birthright citizenship is a ploy very bright people dreamed up. That very issue may be decided very soon, and most people agree.. the children of illegal aliens are illegal aliens themselves. No need to break those families up at all in any of the cases. AH BUT.. it makes a real good Public Relations to make a lot of noise that is wrong, wrong, wrong.

"...which would include enforcement"
Washington refuses to enforce our laws now; there is no reason to hope they would enforce any new laws or start enforcing present laws.
State laws are not harsh. The federal laws are harsh. State laws only seem harsh in comparison to non-enforcement of federal laws by Washington.

I take it you have not been paying attention......
The states had to react to OBAMA's Inaction. The Congress will be replaced come 2012 along with the Fearless leader we have.
This President stood with the President of Mexico and against the U.S. Laws..This is the President that took Arizona to court when they attempted to stop ILLEGALS from overrunning the state and taking jobs.
This is the same President that said in 2008 he would start REFORM....
Guess What, he didn't do anything other than RUN GUNS illegally thru his "Gun Runner " Program and BROKE INTERNATIONAL LAW when he allowed it!
Obama will be toast in 2012. We will be building a fence and securing the border...

Sixty three percent of Republicans surveyed are in favor of a pathway to citizenship according to a Fox News poll and still the Republican leaders, with the exception of Gingrich, continue to only favor plans for deporting all the undocumented aliens. However, Gingrich's plan is a joke since all the illegal aliens that have been here for 25 years were already given Amnesty by President Regan. So, Gingrich's plan applies to no one. I am a Republican who favors reform and I am waiting for someone in the party to step up to the plate and put forth a plan for comprehensive imigration reform that resolves this problem to everyone's benefit. The party leaders have to stop pandering to the right wing facets of the party (Christain Right and Tea Party) and realize that their positions will result in a candidate that is not electable by the American people. The vast majority of the population does not support their radical ideas on immigration or anything else. The leaders also need to face the fact that the fastest growing domographic in American is the Hispanic voter. They already have the power to change the results of the Presidential election and gain strength every day. They were responsible for electing Obama by swaying the vote in half a dozen normally Republican states which gave Obama the Electoral College votes needed to give him the victory. To Alienate this large group of people is political sucide. This does not even take into concideration other large immigrant groups like the Asains. The Republicans have the opportunity to win the favor of these immigrant groups by leading the way for comprhensive immigration reform. This will give them victory in the upcoming election and for many more to come. Please, will someone in a leadership position in the party step up to the plate and save our party from the right wing radicals?
