Newt's Up in South Carolina, But Can He Hold On?

the people of South Carolina have not heard the message of freedom from Ron Paul that continue to drive up his numbers in Iowa and NH. The media representation of his views differs greatly from my understanding of them; I am not sure if it is ignorance on behalf of the media (I don't think they are any more well informed than anyone else with a brain that pays attention) or if they are intentionally misleading voters at the behest of the owners of these media conglomerates.

Once you take the time to understand Ron Pauls message people seem to buy in. It is tough to call his rise in the polls a "surge" as it has been slow and consistent; one voter at a time, and it has not had any support from the media like Gingrich.

If the republican establishments wants to have any chance of winning the election they need to RESPECT Ron Paul. They are treating him like they are terrified. Here is my prediction: If the Republican party continues to misrepresent his views in the media and keeps attempting to downplay his message (Think: Iowa won't count if Ron Paul wins) then he will simply run Third Party anyway because they are basically saying that they don't want him and that his supporters are not real republicans...so by their definition he SHOULD run third Party. If they treat him with RESPECT and present his idea FAIRLY and let the people decide (basically, treat him like each other candidate) then maybe he doesn't. The way I see it, at this point, the republican party needs Ron Paul a lot more than he needs them...
