Roy Lesher of WA. You're incorrect, the majority of Americans, including Republicans, favor tax increases on the rich. Google it.

After 8 years of Bush's "Trickle Down Economics", saying that unfunded tax cuts for Millionaires would create jobs -- history showed it turned out not to work -- in January 2009 Bush ran out of office with us losing nearly 800,000 jobs... per month. (Trickle Down?)

The only jobs these Fatcats DID create with their fat unpaid for Tax Cuts -- they created those jobs in MALAYSIA and other third world countries.

Bush's net result?

1) Millionaire Fat Cats got big fat tax break,

2) They used that Tax Break to Create Jobs in Malaysia,

3) America went into debt to pay for the tax break.

History *just* finished showing us that kissing the rear of millionaires doesn't benefit America.

How many times do we need to replay that?

Republicans: why don't you listen to the 99% for a change?

The review of tax loopholes and other taqx concessions is the RIGHT way go go. EXCEPT. We do NOT want to hear recommendations of this nature from EITHER political party. Get the hearings going with testimony from the IRS and GAO. That should produce the most professional testimony and permit rapid ASSESSMENT. Keep in mind that most Americans are NOT IN FAVOR of increasing anyone's taxes: rich middle class, or poor. When it comes to the wealthy we want to induce and promote investment that creates jobs. Adding more tax revenue only gives the Government more money to screw away and spend on their already gross benefits. So, get your inputs from the professionals, close loopholes, and promote investment.

Who cares about the pipeline. It is years away and only after all the legal challenges and red tape. Let the Republicans feel like they are getting something.

As for the closing of loopholes; right on. Nice move Democrats. Democrats got the tax cuts for the middle class closed some $150 billion tax loop holes for rich people.

Bravo.
