Too bad Rod isn't an illegal alien. Judge Zagel coldly and curtly dismissed any mercy on the basis of "separating Blago from his children."

So let me get this straight? Rod wants the judge to afford him consideration; he would not afford anyone else? How is that possible? How many clemencies’ stood collecting dust for over ten years that Rod did nothing about except for one which was Tony Rezko's? How many of those families and children were impacted by the lack of action and consideration? What about the Gay people's right to get married? What did Rod do for them? If not for Honorable Governor Quinn who seen the imbalance of fairness and took immediate action after taking office these families would still be suffering today. So I say what is good for the Illinois Taxpayer should be good enough for Rod! His family is suffering because of Rod's bad behavior not because of Honorable Judge Zagel, Law Enforcement, or the reporters who broke the story. To imply that law enforcement is not sensitive to the impact punishments has on children is ludacris. The different between law enforcement and Rod is; law enforcement has not forgotten thier oath and promise to the Taxpayers and were not consumed by greed like Rod! The time has come for justice to be served and everyone to be reminded that justice is not blind, and if you break the law? You will be punished regarless of status or power. Even if Honorable Judge Zagle gives Rod over 15 years; the damage Rod has done to Illinois will go on long after his release. Bye, bye Rod!
