west and the tea party don't care if their ideas are popular, they are getting paid to derail popular ideas.

Allen West discounts tea party's unpopularity because the tea party only needs to be popular with the Kochs who are paying the freight. West says that "pollsters don't define Tea Party principles" because the tea party is not built on popular ideas, because the tea party is a special interest lobbyist group representing extreme right wing billionaires with John Bircher principles. So of course, these nasty John Birch Society principles will never be popular, but the cashflow will continue to undermine popular democratic principles our republic is based on.

Allen West and the tea party are the distraction while the these sleazy billionaires are buying out Congress and undermining democratic values based on our Constitution. You have to wonder why someone likes West who hates government still wants to get his paycheck from the government. West wants to undermine government at every turn, just like the rest of the teabaggers, rather than try to work towards having an effective functioning good government.

We the people are the government, hence West and these teabaggers are anti-government and thus working against the American people. Of course they are not popular but that's not their point, is it?
