I don't think there is anyone on the planet who thought the Stupid Committee would work. Our politicians these days are getting dumber and dumber. How can they not see what every other person could; six Dems and six GOPs getting together and solving a problem.
Are you politicians really that dumd. Dems and GOPS can't agree on anything. Just having a dope like Kerry on that panel should tell you something. He's a liar and not very bright at all. Wake up and get rid of stupid idea of a committee.

The 'Super Committee' failed because Congressional Republicans are allergic to paying for anything. The GOP is the party of Free Lunch, as they never will pick up the tab. Even when they are the ones who ordered everything on the menu, spending like drunken sailors. Even when they have allowed all the casino/banks rip-off their patrons at every turn.
The 'Super Committee' and Congress have failed to do anything in the face of serious problems. It has nothing to do with the executive branch, but Obama should skewer Congress for its failures and the Republican obstructionism, which is this country's biggest problem. Purge Republican policies and this country will get moving again.

We should all be glad the Dems didn't "cave". That's why you have no result from the Super-Committee and I suspect Republicans are a tad surprised this time.

Remove the Social Security Trust funds(trust funds) from the Unified Federal budget, and since the trust funds now spend more than they take in the federal deficit will be reduced accordingly. With the trust fruns removed what needs to be done will not be part of the political football we now have.

How will affect us?
1. America will barely be a great power anymore, if we are on at all. Our Army will be the size it was in 1940, our Navy the size it was in 1950, and our Air Force the smallest it has ever been. We will be, in many respects, defenseless against a serious threat.
2. You will pay more for everything. Interest rates will rise -- and not only for your loans, but for those industry and retail need to survive that will be passed on to customers.

Both Speakers, Newt and Boehner are correct. The idea in the first place was absurd and Obama and the Senate Dems are to blame for no solutions the economic disasters made worse in triplicate by Obama and his knaves. The military cuts in this dangerous war against Islamofascist that Obama oh so wants, shows thinking Americans just where this anti-American Prez is coming from. The worst Prez in my 73 yrs.

As long as Republicans are unwilling to compromise, the is a good thing that the Democrats held their ground.
Sorry the 'Super Committee' failure is a good thing and not anything new, as the committee was born of the failure of Congress to do their job.
I'm going to write to congratulate the Democrat committee members for forcing the hand of the Obstructionist Republicans to show they are unwilling to put country before lobbyists like Norquist (Folks ought to realize Norquist has been financed by foreigners - which means foreing money is blackmailing Republicans to work against the best interests of the American people).
The 'Super Committee' didn't get anything done as expected because we have a Do-Nothing Congress that doesn't work and is intentionally obstructed by Republicans unwilling to compromise. The only answer is to dislodge the obstruction - sort of like a heimlich maneuver at the next ballot boxes to regurgitate the lousy GOP rats that got us into the economic mess we are in.

“Despite our inability to bridge the committee’s significant differences, we end this process united in our belief that the nation’s fiscal crisis must be addressed and that we cannot leave it for the next generation to solve,” they said. “We remain hopeful that Congress can build on this committee’s work and can find a way to tackle this issue in a way that works for the American people and our economy.”
What a load of political bollocks this is.
I voted for Pres Obama . but it seems he has little or no idea of how to get involved with these idiots in Congress and get them to do something.. That is bad.
