It seems the writer/editor/owner didn't think it newsworthy to include the 'winner' was Ron Paul--in a landslide at that. Romney came in a distant 2nd with around half as much of the pie. The rest of the candidates (all of them were included) combined didn't amount to but a few single digit percentages.

What the story doesn't say is that all of the candidates at the Summit were hoping and trying to bring their own group(s) of supporters to these straw polls. Isn't that the point? To show you can turn out solid support. Ron Paul's support is greatly under-emphasized because the media knows every time they even mention his name, that new people start asking, "Who's Ron Paul?", and when they look a little deeper--they find the most honest and UN-corruptable politician in history.

The 'bad' guys (Republican/Democrat Party) can't find any 'dirt' on this man, except to say he stood by the principles of the Founders--every time, in three decades in office. Bummer for them.

One last point that went unspoken, but needs to be understood. In the balance hangs an inevitable decision that will determine whether or not the Republicans will 'waste' their votes on any other Republican--and hand Obama a 2nd term.

Here it is: Ron Paul's support comes from a solid 37% of Republican voters, 30-45% of Independents, double-digits from Democrat voters and a majority of Libertarians. Ron Paul's supporters view all the other candidates as 'posers' and will NOT cast a single vote for any other candidate. They, like me, will write in Ron Paul, anyway. We will not be enticed like sponge-spined Republicans to vote 'against' Obama--we're voting for what we want--Freedom!

With one of the presidential races being decided (in favor of Bush) by a few hundred or a few thousand votes, you have to ask yourself, "Can ANY OTHER CANDIDATE even possibly win without Ron Paul's inspired and committed supporters?", you may want to take it one-step further and ponder, "Is there any way someone with all that committed support could possibly lose against Obama?".

So, how do you figure

Ron Paul connects with Christian conservatives in a way that mystifies the media and political pundits. If you want to know why he has such broad support, why not dig a little and find out instead of trying to dismiss the poll's results?
