Could Ron Paul 2012 Pave the Way for Rand Paul 2016 or 2020?

Both Ron and Rand are the true patriatic politicians who really have the ideas of how to save America among the hundreds of professional politicians. Why? Because they know what American need the most urgent matters: boosting the global economy; balancing national budget; stopping the leakages of military waste especially to the countries remote from USA, and hundreds of international military drills paid by American taxpayers; generating a flat tax from every American; the bottom line is to rebuild the American reputation, and make all of us feel proud of who we are.

I want a candidate that will bring our troops home and it says something that Ron Paul is raising more money than any other candidate from active military. They want to come home. Iraq, Iran, Afganistand barely have armies and 0 air force. Without an air force they are not a threat at all to the US. I disagree with this man on many many issues, but as a president he won't have the power to get a lot of his policies passed - however he does have the authority to bring the troops home. That is my Key issue.

Nobody remember that we are at war and have soldiers dying, receiving traumatic brain injuries, getting limbs blown off everyday. He's the only candidate who is a veteran and he's the only candidate who wants to bring our troops home. Health Care, Jobs, all the other issues we normally debate during elections should take a backseat during war time.

The name familiarity of a perpetual candidate of Ron Paul only tells us that repetition breeds familiarity. Too bad most are not familiar with the fact that Ron Paul has been toting policies that only benefit billionaires. Ron Paul is a class warrior bent on stealing any benefits for average Americans that government can supply. Sure, according to Ron Paul, yo have the liberty to starve to death, the liberty to get sick without any affordable healthcare, you have the liberty of driving on toll roads, you have the liberty to kowtow to the monopolies that run the country, you have the liberty to be a slave.

Ron Paul's idealism sounds sincere but if you looked at what he's suggests its bad for most of us unless you are a billionaire or a corporate executive.

Ron Paul does not have an ounce of patriotism or social responsibility in anything he advocates.

Rand Paul is worse.

We don't need to all be dopes like these clowns are smoking.

Rand Paul should not be put in the same category as Ron Paul. He's slowly leaning towards the status quo of the other candidates.

For 2016 or 2020, what we really need is GARY JOHNSON, if Ron Paul doesn't win. He shares largely the same views as Ron Paul, except he is way better at expressing them, and has shown evidence that they actually worked when he was governor.

In 2012, I'm voting for Paul, but only because a vote for Johnson wouldn't go anywhere, because Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are virtually identical, except for on abortion.

Ron Paul has an army of grassroots support across the nation that might not necessarily show up in every poll. I do believe Rand Paul is the future...but this article may be an off handed way to discredit Ron Paul. You may not agree with Ron Paul (or any politician) on every issue...but Ron Paul predicted our financial woes years ago and has the best solution to solving them. If the dollar crashes...America will experience pain like never before. We are already in danger of hyperinflation if the Fed prints anymore money or if we have another stimulus. Ron Paul understands this and is the best person to stop it. Return honesty to government...Restore America...Ron Paul 2012!!!

Rand has some big shoes to fill.Ron Paul is still the top dog,and the only candidate with a plan that differs from what has already been done.

What hasn't Obama done for the rich republican cry babies. He'll get re-elected for that alone. He is the funnel for public tolerance of the rich republican cry babies out there.... Wah... wah..... let me keep my lollipops..... wah.... i don't want to give back what we've worked so hard for to take.... like affordable health care, pensions, decent wages... wah... i like making 30 times what my workers make... wah... wah... my great grandpa would be proud of me.... wah... he paid 90% tax and was still rich while this country led the industrial revolution. they built bridges, dams, etc.. now we watch them all fall apart but look how rich i am.... wah... wah... take more away from everyone else.... wah... wah.... don't tax me like the old days... wah... i like paying less tax than the middle class.... wah.... wah..... i'm too big to fail so I get my bailout welfare check.... how do you like that free market capitalism system... the cost of living skyrockets and I get to pay my workers wages from over 10 years ago.... and they get to foot the bill for high medical costs, etc... I can't wait until I'm 66 so I can draw the social security check that I don't even contribute to for my income is way over 100k and they don't make me pay... ah... and I work real hard. my job requires me to say the word no... that's all i need to do.... wah... wah....

socialism is what the bailouts were. and those bailout recipients are the first ones to collect on social security when eligible even though they never paid social security tax on income above 100k per year. hey, they jacked up the price of college enough now so it's affordable by even less people even though it was free when they went in the 60's and 70's.....

it's de-regulation from a republican controlled senate, house, and president that allowed the financial industry to screw everyone but the upper class......

regan unleashed the beast by allowing that Merrill Lynch guy to be his right hand and selling this country into the stock market. we are forced to be gamblers........ the stock market is the only thing keeping this country afloat... it's just another vehicle used by the rich to take everyone elses money. it's never an even playing field... no one can afford the expensive high frequency trading servers that they rent........ how can we have pride in a country that only can stay afloat through deceit and exploitation.........

This speculation about Rand Paul's run if Ron doesn't win is old news within Ron Paul circles. We've been talking about that for months now...

Only now, when Ron is beginning to really show signs of upward mobility does US News essentially remind Ron Paul fans that our only hope lies with Rand.

I couldn't disagree more vehemently. Ron is already winning. He's winning against a media stonewall that has every motivation to see him fail, and he will win against the political establishment as well.

The special interest contractors sapping money from our government might as well be rewriting their resumes.

Ron Paul 2012 in a BIG WAY!!

Rod of UT 10:44PM August 24, 2011

I like the article, but I still see Ron Paul coming out on top this time around. I'm putting my money on Ron winning in 2012 and stepping aside gracefully in 2016 to let Rand take the reins. I would like to see both only serve one term forcing both parties to have substantial debates instead of just backing an incumbent for no good reason.
