Wildfires that began in a sparsely populated area in central Texas are spreading and the flames have already engulfed 150,000 acres. No injuries have been reported, but more than 100 properties have been destroyed by the blaze and hundreds of people have been evacuated. The Air National Guard has been dispatched to the area with C-130 aircraft pouring water and fire retardant over the 20 foot flames. Three hundred firefighters are also working to control the wildfires, but have only contained 10 percent of the flames. Texas is experiencing its worst drought in nearly a century, Reuters reports.
