A reported 200 tornadoes swept through several states--from Mississippi to Maryland-- leaving at least 45 people dead and neighborhoods destroyed. But there could be more severe weather ahead. A cold front from the Rocky Mountains is expected to push eastward Tuesday and Wednesday and collide with warm air from the south, a combination that could result in more twisters, thunderstorms, and hail. In and around Raleigh, N.C., shopping centers and neighborhoods were virtually wiped out. Survivor stories abound. A Lowe's home improvement store was pulverized by the storm. Just as the front of the store blew in, the store manager acted quickly and moved everyone to the back of the building. All of the hundreds of customers and employees were safe and without injury. Another story of survival occurred an hour north in the state's capital Raleigh, where the winds carried a three-month-old baby out of his cousin's arms. But after the storm passed, the baby was found just a few feet away on a piece of wood, crying but uninjured. The baby's family calls his survival "a miracle."
