President Obama says he is "heartbroken" by the situation in Japan, where an estimated 1,000 people have been killed after an earthquake and subsequent tsunami. "Today's events remind us of just how fragile life can be," the president said at a press conference Friday. He added that despite differences in culture and location, "ultimately, humanity is one." Obama said his administration is monitoring the situation "very closely" as the tsunami has already hit Hawaii and is heading toward the California coast. "FEMA is fully activated and is coordinating with state and local officials to support these regions as necessary," Obama said. [See photos of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.]

I am deeply impressed that obama is heartbroken over the plight of our Japanese friends. Clearly this event is even more important to him than other developments in the world, of which he has expressed, "serious", "profound", "grave" or "deep" concern over the years, and proceeded to do (expletive deleted).

The current problem isn’t just that he is a gutless empty suite, but that the imbecile in the White House has put America in the poor house. We face numerous threats/opportunities across the Globe that cost money. Sadly, our First Eunuch has wasted billions lining the pockets of his democrat cohorts and we are now in no position to meaningfully help our Japanese friends (the first line of defense against China), finance a no fly zone in Libya ($300MM a week) or do any number of actions which are crucial to our national security. This adolescent political hack is a disgrace to our country.

It is comforting to know that during this time of global crises the bum has time to put on a pair of "comfy" shoes and play a round of golf.
