Pro-Qadhafi forces are waging battles in Zawiyah, a city west of the Libyan capital of Tripoli, as rebel forces struggle to hold onto the city. It is difficult to get a clear and accurate account for how many have died, but Zawiyah's hospital is packed with wounded opposition members. Among the patients was a man with a live grenade lodged in his leg, the Associated Press reports. Another was a ten year old boy who was struck while playing outside. "There is a massacre," one resident of Zawiyah told the AP. "They are killing people by snipers." Meanwhile, rebel forces are also trying to take the city of Surt, Muammar Qadhafi's home town.
