Correction:
Abraham had one wife and a concubine. King Solomon had several hundred wives. King David was a skirt chaser. Both characters were Military commanders, as chiefs of state, and God forgave David, but doomed Solomon.
Spectacular that lately several generals have been netted in struggling with mother nature. This reminds us of Samson's weakness, in fooling around with nature's forbidden fruit. Generals and Delilahs, both trapped by second-handed computers. Simply, military generals have peripheral vision, rather than taking the bull by its tail, and looking the situation square into its face.

PLEASE read Pauline Maier's "Ratification" about the process of ratifying the Constitution which took place in 1787-1788 to learn that the "Founding Fathers" who voted for enactment of the Constitution wanted a strong (actually often termed "energetic") national government as long as additional protections (i.e., the Bill of Rights) were added later

Nevertheless, this matter could be corrected collectively. Politicians should wear a muffler when crossing the line of mother nature, and too, store their intentions some other place. A good bet would be to spread their by-products via some pulp mill as usual. Lets keep America green!

Should the Supreme court be involved and overturn the the regulation stipulating all must purcase health insurance it would ruin health care reform,which is exactly what the Republicans and insurance cos. hope for.This would return the health care to the point of 50mil people without insurance who then coud deoend on the EMERG CARE and guiess who pays for that? We who actually purchase it and health care costs continue to rise. How about requiring auto insurance? I believe that only one state does not require it at this point in time.Republicans, Tea party, and perhaps Anarchists ,or uninformed are basically those opposing the reform.

I realize when I registered to vote (on my 21st birthday in 1946), the related requirements were difficult if not impossible for some whose education was lacking,.
But I had to "pass" a test on our country - its Constitution, Bill of Rights, three branches of government & how they were planned to balance each other. I had studied all this in Civics in high school, and seriously reviewed all this before registering. Then, not all people had this available. But now it's there for any who want it.
But it appears to me that our Congress & administrations & courts have, in many cases, decided it's not important for us common folk to understand our country.
Incidentally, yes - we are a nation of immigrants - immigrants who had to demonstrate knowledge of our country's history, and our language. This is a fact that the current - "Let all the illegals be citizens" whiners never say - thus buying votes by ignoring illegalities.
Have you read any of the comments from those who take the legal route to citizenship? Even the legal immigrants must be familiar with how the US works, must know the language, and must wait their turn.

Wow. Another straw man to blow away… Yes, I have read the Constitution, and I assure you my knowledge of it is vast and expansive. That’s why I’m surprised you don’t know most Constitutional scholars strictly view the Constitution as the “finishing point” document -- the original “go to” (if that helps you) for Rule of Law referencing. Perhaps you mixed up your documents -- I’d give you the benefit of the doubt here but seeing that you completely ignored the ONLY point I made in my original comment (about USN&WR’s narrative the last two years), I won’t. That said, the “starting point” document to which you should’ve been referring to is known by American historiographers as the Declaration of Independence -- maybe you need to check that one out.
