The Alaska Republican Party has urged Miller to concede.

Even if every challenge is upheld, Miller has lost the election, Murkowski's campaign manager Kevin Sweeney said, adding they would intervene in the lawsuit.

"In order to ensure that the intent of voters is fully honored and that every Alaskan's vote is protected, the Murkowski campaign will be intervening in Mr. Miller's baseless litigation," Sweeney says in a statement.

You'd think that Sarah Palin would have spoken out by now on Mr. Miller's sour grapes ballot-counting lawsuit. After all, he had her support as the bonafide Republican candidate in the primary election. Sarah Palin supported Republican women across the country. Why doesn't she speak out? Well -- she defeated Lisa Murkowski's father to win the office of Alaska Governor. She and the Murkowskis are political enemies. The day Sarah Palin supports Lisa Murkowski's bid for the Senate will be a cold day in ... uh, Alaska. When Lisa Murkowski becomes US Senator for Alaska again, it will be because the people of Alaska want her, not Sarah Palin or the Republican Party.

Agreed Scott. I'm sure I don't fully grasp the situation from a legal standpoint so I can't speak to that but it seems that the only possible way for Mr. Miller to win is to employ the despicable political tactics against which he and his party have campaigned.

As has already been pointed out, even if he were to win this challenge, he still loses the election. And then there is of course the matter that what he is trying to do is have many votes thrown out where it is very clear what the intent of the voter was. This is morally and ethically wrong and is in and of itself good reason why Mr. Miller should never hold public office. He is clearly only interested in himself.
