TSA Chief: Body Scan Boycott Would Be Mistake

"Clearly it's invasive, it's not comfortable," Pistole said of the scans and pat-downs during the interview on CNN's "State of the Union." But, he added, "if we are to detect terrorists, who have again proven innovative and creative in their design and implementation of bombs that are going to blow up airplanes and kill people, then we have to do something that prevents that."

Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., who is set to become Transportation Committee chairman when Republicans take over the House in January, differed with the approach.

"I don't think the rollout was good and the application is even worse. This does need to be refined. But he's saying it's the only tool and I believe that's wrong," Mica, a longtime critic of the TSA, said on CNN.

With the peak traveling season nearing, air travelers are protesting new requirements at some U.S. airports that they must pass through full-body scanners that produce a virtually naked image. The screener, who sits in a different location, does not see the face of the person being screened and does not know the traveler's identity.

Those who refuse to go through the scanners are subject to thorough pat-downs that include agency officials touching the clothed genital areas of passengers.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., appearing on CBS, said Congress would hold hearings on the "very controversial" issue of how to strike the right balance. Asked how he would feel about submitting to a pat-down, Hoyer said, "I don't think any of us feel that the discomfort and the delay is something that we like, but most people understand that we've got to keep airplanes safe."

Pistole was interviewed Monday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America," CBS's "The Early Show," NBC's "Today" show and MSNBC.

WE have some strange up comings of during WW11, until the present situation in Iraq. Beginning with the Korean police action we know that the late General MacArthur had no use for the then unelected Harry Solomon Truman. This insignificant press agent sycophant, was surrounded by double agents between Red Russia and their wire pullers in D.C. The trials at Nuremberg was a plant for internationalists to punish those of whom lost the conflict. The mother of all lies was the founding of the United Nations Organizations. Between the incident at Pearl Harbor in 1941 and what is going on in the Persian Gulf situation was well planned, for at least forty years. Since no information is out during these past years of so-called conflicts, nothing is put forward, as to why the State department has been contrary in giving out concerning its absolute control by foreign agents since the era of the late President Woodrow Wilson, with his speckled dream of having a war to end all wars. From Wilson through Truman right up to the present, all Presidents are merely tools of a global financial scheme to convert the world trading industry into Internationalism. With all the cards lain on the art of state table, face down, and political prostitutes falling into line with liberalism's art of the state psychological warfare, through bamboozling both hand-picked pseudo parties, to shove humanism and to deal in the lavishing field of impassioned idiocy, in concealing the truth that America has fallen into subtle hands of ambitious spirits, of whom pull wires for their selected rejects chosen to run for some state position. At least eighty million souls died during WW11. It is press agented that six-million plus were lost. The question: What happened to the lost souls of the remaining seventy-one million souls. We never hear about them. Mercy will never rob justice. Some day the truth will roll forth; this will never take place until we get rid of flunkies running for national office.
