This 85 year old -- now retired surgeon -- gets chills from the almost worship some give to the "Man in the white-house." And yes, I did vote for him! But, at the same time, I feel I now must draw a parallel -- and I know this will infuriate many -- 65 and a half years ago, at this time, I was killing those **** (use the meanest language you can generate) in Germany who loved their Hitler. History can repeat itself if you fail to learn something from it! I hope there is more sensible evaluation of current events than I see in the morning newspaper -- especially in the "Letters to the Editor Section." I will appreciate any comment.

So it appears that voters sent a message to Washington. Can't wait to see what happens in another two years. One of the things that hurt the Democrats was the Healthcare plan. There were so many aspects that people did not know about, ie. paying taxes on what employers pay for healthcare (now income). Another little known item: paying taxes on the sale price of your home. Although such taxes don't happen for a while, they certainly don't help the retirees of this country. The middle class just keeps getting taxed. While he wants to keep Bush's tax cuts, he's raising taxes anyway. We can easily solve the money problem by getting out of Afghanistan. We're going nowhere in that place and Pakistan is no friend either. While I'm at it, why so many troops in Japan, Europe?
