No need to extend anybody's tax cuts after the election. Boy, who saw THAT coming?

and they claim to be the party that will fix the budget? Keep income low and we'll magically balance?

Whew....if the public swallows the GOP line, they are dumber than even I thought. The GOP had done nothing to balance the budget, fix the economy, help the middle class get back on its feet.... Heck they even voted against the bill to help small business!

And - what is the GOP wlling to cut? Nothing. The last balanced budget was under Clinton 1999. Why? One big reason was that miltary spending was over $350 BILLION/year lower than now. Yes - $2.3 trillion we could have NOT spent the past 10 years. Or - Homeland Security - $70 billion/year? Also not on the books 10 years ago. Hundreds of Assistant Secretaries in the military when there used to be 56. Full pensions for Congresspeople who work 6 years. Military & civil servants who can retire after 20 years - what job in the private sector does that? Then cut everything else 10%, increase payroll deduction ceilings for SSI and Medi to $200,000 and they are balanced.

Then WE are balanced. I could do it. The GOP doesn't want me or you or the Dems to do it, and big money definitely will pay big money to try to stop it.

Until Americans realize that the GOP is doing all they can to take away all that protects the middle and lower classes from financial ruin, we will fall still further. But the American oligarchs need to be careful. If people are to poor, too desperate, they will rise up and overthrow this the oligarchs and the system - GOP, Tea Party and Dems, and we will have a totalitarian regime. History makes it clear. Governments who do not care for their people are doomed to the ashbins of history.

What a bunch of "spineless idiots" in Congress. Politically no guts to stand up and resolve the uncertainty that has killed business and jobs! How can anyone make a decision to hire when we keep up this political "tennis"!

Get the jobe done or get the hell out of the way.

Vote them all out and who cares about experience when they all look like children playing hide and seek.

The country's economic policy right now is more like, "I'll take many hamburgers today, and make my grandchildren pay for them later."

These guys are crooks. Dodd isn't running because he could not win. This jerk Dodd is quoted "Tax policy is not one of our strongest political issues," says Sen. Chris Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat who retires next year". If this is the case then what is their strong political issue, Cap & trade, mopre billions for countries that hate us. Jamming socailism down our throats?

Vote them all out!!
