The only remaining primary will be held Sept. 18 in Hawaii.

This year's primaries have knocked out three Senators—Republicans Bob Bennett of Utah and Alaska's Lisa Murkowski and Republican-turned-Democrat Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania—and five House members, Castle, Democrat-turned-Republican Parker Griffith of Alabama, Democrats Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick of Michigan, Alan Mollohan of West Virginia, and Republican Bob Inglis of South Carolina.

While these races captured the headlines, a majority of voters stuck with most incumbents. In total, 23 Senators and 393 House members ran in this primary season.

The Republican Party saw the Tea Party push as a viable marketing tool and absorbed them. These so called "Tea Party" candidates making the ballot are nothing more than old school name brand Republicans. The same Republicans who spent out of control under W. Same Republicans who have zero regards for civil liberties (Patriot Act).

The Republicans are playing the real Conservatives for fools. They fear them getting in their way of their........business as usual.

... but tea party ideas are dieing on the vine - as soon as folks recognize how ridiculous and self-destructive the Tea Bag notions are.

The Tea Bag Republicans have nothing to offer but more obstruction and economic failure based on Bush's voodoo economics.

The Tea Party sold out to the billionaires and turned against the American people.

The Tea Party movement is Dead On Arrival, just like the new GOP Pledge. The shady pledge is promising to say No to anything but welfare for billionaires.
