Dear Observer,
I really hope you are not a reflection of what the American educational system has come to. The constitution states that everyone in your country should have freedom of religion, this includes the freedom to worship wherever they wish. Before you go and make a decision on such a controversial issue i suggest you do your homework (it seems as your too busy text messaging to do your homework--learn how to spell if you're going to comment on an issue like this).
First, the Muslim COMMUNITY CENTER will not be build on ground zero, or across the street from ground zero, it is BLOCKS away from ground zero.
Secondly, it is being built by a private corporation which technically owns the land, owns the building, and thus owns the right to do whatever they wish with it.
Don't listen to what the media feeds you people, do your research.
Ps. Observer, I really hope that you are no older than 12, if you are, then I highly suggest you go back to school because your grammar is atrocious.

Where are you getting your facts AMERICA HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND STILL IS A FREE COUNTRY!!! The Muslim community has the right to build the community center across from ground zero. yes many people take offense to this but what the U.S is doing is exactly the opposite of what we are supposed to stand for. America has always stood for freedom, freedom of religion, and treating everybody equally, etc. by building this are they violiting any laws? NO. so why are people being so cold hearted. If you call yourself an American and you don't believe that this center should be built then you need to review the 1st amendmant and what it means. you need to get your facts straight before you start talking about something that you no nothing about. The Muslim community has the right to build this center. Americans don't want it there because they blame the entire Muslim community for something about 38 people did. now how is that fair?

I am not an american but part muslim part hindu
I personally dont agree with a mosque being built there just the thought of it is inhumane, yes thers freedom of w/e but as muslims you people should take responsibility for what peer muslims did cause the fact is they did it just watching this so called debate just brings chills to my spine as if i was watching 9/11 all over again...this should not even be a debate U.S should take a stand ...power to the ppl is one thing but but ur country seems like even the natives is displaced with foriengn objects...take a stand obama ppl dindt put u in power to just watch...its what they have the un for..
ppl b4 looked up to the US now its like the worst ever

all the money to buy land for the mosques is raised by community, just like churchs may collect for food pantries. And no, muslim girls do not marry old men. And yes, you are persecuting my religion, i'd probably cuss you out right now, but it is the holy month of ramadan and cursing would be unappreciated by the almighty. Women are treated with great respect in Islam, its just that in the middle east there are both shias and sunnis. Shias are the ones sometimes known as the suicide bomber while sunnis are the innocent moderate muslims like me. The only way you may kill people in Islam is if let's say someone commited murder. That person should be executed for their wrong doing. the other excuse is war. One thing you do have right though, is Islam is a way of life, not a religion. religion is just a way of describing it. Get this straight. 38 crazies did 9/11. There are a billion kind and loving Muslims, many unfortunately in rigid undemocratic nations, who had nothing to do with the World Trade Center and who grieved when those 3,000 lives were lost. Get it straight. The crazies and the world's Muslims are not connected. Got it? In pluralistic modern states, openmindedness is necessary. The Turks permit churches to be built despite the fact that Christians ravaged that land. Give up your zenophobia. Give it up ! If you don't know what it means, look it up ! But let it go. It's pure ignorance and emotion, and it debases the quality of being an American for us to carry on this way.

i cant believe u think of all this as recently this building has been in production for a while i know its for the election but if everyone was to be offended why wasnt it in the beginning process when they decided to not make it if u ask me its stupid and they should make it

Maybe Harry did not get invited to Obama's Ramadan dinner where the POTUS blows smoke up the robes of his Muslim friends. And he's miffed?? Besides, the Obamas won't vacation in Nevada! Just Spain and Martha's Vineyard.
Stupid Pelosi wants to investigate whoever is supporting the anti-mosque movement. Shows her group-think liberal thinking where she expects some Soros-type money is behind everything the blind liberals are for. She doesn't understand that 71% of the individual Americans are opposed to this slap in the face. The Pineapple Princess doesn't understand individual freedoms at all!
