We all know the carnage going on in Mexico. Mexico has had "gun ban" laws for long a I can remember and I am 75 years old. Everyone can see what their gun laws have done for, or to, their country. If the U.S. had the same anti-gun laws, I do not doubt the situation would be the same here. The liberals say Mexico's problems are due to the "drug cartels". If we had those laws here, we would have the same problems.

Protection from what? We may live in a "relatively civilized society"... but we don't live in a society free from crime. That is one reason why my right to keep an bear arms... everyone's right to keep and bear arms, or not, as they choose... is still relevant. No one, no matter how safe THEY may feel, has the right to make my choice FOR ME. And the best way to protect kids is education. Firearms education, more specifically, safe gun handling, so they know a gun is not a toy, not something they should touch without adult supervision. What is really careless is not gun owners, but the lack of common, available and proper firearms handling education in our schools.

The rights of an individual owning a gun (handgun, rifle or shotgun) is a very
contested subject. Much like abortion and death penalty issues, both sides
have their own objections. I myself, being a legal law biding citizen, legal handgun carrying permit holder, consider myself a christian and a NRA member, would respectfully ask those against both owning firearms or the death penalty, "has anyone of you ever had a child murdered, molested or raped." ??
Because I honestly believe that most of these people would change their minds
if this happened to them or a family member.

What world do you live in? Just as you said, a "relatively" safe society. I can already tell that no violent crime has ever happened to you. You live in a false reality and think you can't ever been hurt. Ask anyone who has ever been raped or mugged, protection from what? If you want to fall victim to a violent crime because your anti second amendment then so be it but I will be the one to say that I refuse to be a victim. If you can answer this then I'll sell my handguns. Why do bad things happen to good people?

I keep hearing that people need guns for protection. Protection from what? I thought we lived in a relatively civilized society and have police for protection and law enforcement. I see no reason for me to have a firearm to protect myself. I do worry about all the killings that happen when kids find a gun and think it is a toy. I see those stories in the news at least once or twice a week. Those kids are the ones that need protection. Protection from careless gun owners.

Even after the Supreme Court ruling Mayor Daly and his tyranical supporters ignore the law
If an ordimary citizen would have ignored the law, swift retribution would have been rendered
Daly, Bloomberg, and other rich politicians are EXACTLY why people need to have guns, to prevent tyranny
Our fore fathers had foresight to recognize this, and write into the governing document of this country

"I wonder why US News And World Report found it necessary to provide a link showing how many members of Congress got money (campaign contributions) from pro-gun organizations, but no link showing us how many got contributions from anti-gun organizations."
It's not bias; anti-gun groups just aren't making any meaningful donations. Right now, pro-gun organizations have donated almost $600,000 to political campaigns, while anti groups have donated just over $5,000:
It's all in how they're funded. Gun rights are supported by millions of ordinary Americans willing to donate to protect their rights, while gun control is generally supported by a small number of wealthy individuals and organizations that see "common sense" laws as stepping stones toward a complete ban. After Heller took a ban off the table, there was just no reason left to funnel money into that lost cause.

we need legislation at federal level to be able to file charges against supreme
court judges who lie in their testimony at hearing in order to be appointed to supreme court;and congress should be able to remove judges who vote against our rights.

I wonder why US News And World Report found it necessary to provide a link showing how many members of Congress got money (campaign contributions) from pro-gun organizations, but no link showing us how many got contributions from anti-gun organizations. Does some bias in their reporting make them believe we need to be warned about pro-gun groups, but not about the anti's? Should have been the other way around, in my opinion. The anti's are the ones trying to destroy our civil rights.
