I campaigned for Al, so you know where I'm coming from. He is a very compassionate man who will always try to do what's right for the 'average joe.'
In that vein, he is really coming down on Roberts 'activist' court. They are eroding individual rights with every decision they make. Expect Al to continue to be very verbal about this. He will continue to reach across the aisle and try to get meaningful legislation passed in many areas. He is a brilliant, and funny man. I am very proud of his start, but you haven't seen nothin yet.

of progressive DRUTs like Al Franken would be comical if weren't so tragic for the nation.

"One of the great mysteries of modern politics today is how the state of Minnesota could have produced both Rep. Michele Bachmann (R) and Democrat Sen. Al Franken. While Bachmann this week was accusing the Obama administration of “fleecing” BP, urging its execs not to be “chumps,” and suggesting that a $20 billion escrow fund for oil spill victims was a form of “wealth redistribution,” Franken Thursday night was wowing an audience of lawyers with a remarkably pointed critique of the Roberts court and its efforts to enhance the power of already powerful corporations. The contrast couldn’t be more different."

Most problems can be traced to centuries of banning abortion to force women to produce big families of church benefactors. NOBODY can create enough jobs for too many people. Ban-Abortion ads say "Don't murder millions of innocent babies." So millions of conceptions are not aborted. As in the past, they live, grow up & compete with parents & siblings for jobs. Millions of illegal workers come from Ban-Abortion nations like Mexico. This year, teen unemployment is at crisis level. Unemployed men are desperate & are crippling or killing wives & children. Conservatives complain about high taxes but their Ban=Abortionism each year puts more poor unwed moms on welfare, subsidized by us taxpayers. Congress must make it easy to regulate population-- to decrease DEMAND for natural resources & energy. We must stop needing oil so badly that they drill undersea. Franken's bill for dogs for vets will help them & their families. I hope he will be a leader in successful attempts to end the illegal iraq war and put the money to use here. Vote for ProChoice candidates.
