"Democrats appear to be more interested in the economic success of "elites"" true to a point . Goldman Sachs gave more to Obama's campaign in 2008 i think then the republicans . But does that mean the republicans that pushed for the finical deregulation for so many years are any different(and if you're well versed in the 2008 banking crisis the only conclusion you will come to is that the deregulation of banks and wall street is what caused it period) . It may spell a loss for dems in 2012 but only because of a total lower voter turnout and utter disgust for our two party corporate sponsored system and should not by any means seen by either faces of what is essentially the same party as a mandate from the people . Especially when most voters will decided to stay home . Viva la occupy wall st !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is an idea......stop pushing amnesty for illegals and lower legal immigration. We don't need millions of more people in this recession/depression.

The "protest" (against Dems) blue collar voters are now expected to firmly grasp the chain saw with both hands and buzz off the weak remaining limb upon which they have been sitting.

These frustrated folks apparently have no idea that high end tax cuts destroyed their way of life----so now they want to vote for some more of them.

It is definitely a situation that must be maneuvered through with care. While the budget is teetering, Americans need to know that their government is working on their behalf. There should be a happy medium between the bill and curtailing the cost of the bill, but I think that it will take some time and attention to detail over the long haul.

Since the government of President Obama, drawn largely from the legislative branch, seems to have a slow learning curve when switching to the executive side of governing, perhaps we can try something like the Libertarians. While the R's throw every conceivable block in the way of the D's efforts to clean up the mess the R's created, including placing "holds" on most of the President's nominees for key governing positions, it doesn't require any particular genius to understand the R's are simply obstructionists. Unfortunately, they have proven to be pretty good at their game, evidently concluding that they get some political advantage from their efforts to tear down the nation.

So we have the R's making a royal mess of our beloved country and the D's unable to overcome the road-blocks of the R's.

The Libertarians look better to me than T party or Coffee Klub. I see no problem thus far with the President's defense policies. He certainly hasn't ignored clear intelligence warnings with the result of another 9-11 like his predicessor's.

It's time to flush the commode! Throw all incumbents out and start a national dialogue on public financing of our elections.

As long as we have private interests buying the politicians with campaign contributions they will forever own them. Members of both parties owe their allegiance to their heavy contributors and not to the American people. Thats why they continue to ignore their constituents and obey their financial backers. Throw them out and keep throwing them out until they get the message that they work for us and not the special interests.

So who would like you to believe that 'Blue Collar' voters are suddenly switching to the party of corporate welfare and the party for screwing Blue Collar workers. Sorry this is just a stupid argument. While politicians as a whole get negative approval ratings right now, people hate Republicans far more. Blue Collar workers won't forget it was the Republicans who squandered the economy and have been sandbagging any effort to fix things.

Democrats may lose support of Blue Collar workers if they don't pass health care reform and if they don't pass real financial reform. The continual lies from Republicans have lost any support for a long time to come.

People forget. Obama started out with many of Goerge W Bushes screw ups and actually seems to be turing things around. Should Health Care pass he will be helping thousands of blue collar workers get decent healthcare at an affordable price. He has worked hard to get a jobs bill and believe it or not has worked with Congress to pass many bills that help the middle class.

In addition, Obama has demonstrated that he is an intelligent caring man who thinks before he acts and deserves the support of the people who elected him President.

I agree with tiger lily of D.C. and C Sanders of NY, we neede independents to rule, and I don't mean the Teabaggers. Maybe the Coffee Party is a better model, though I would want a third party of people who would follow in the mold of Teddy and FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, and JFK, with a little of Reagan thrown in. Clinton and George W, Bush cowtowed to the fat cats of Wall Street. Obama has the opportunity to act like a true independent, and follow his conscience.

Its pretty obvious where Obamas loyalty lies. After the dems lose big in 2010 there will be this fake analysis at to why it happened. He has alienated just about everyone I know that voted for him. As a teacher, I am straight in his crosshairs because I chave chosen to work in a high poverty school. His insistence that the federal government micromanage every detail of achool decisions is going to damage public education for a long time to come. I would much rather have King George. At least he was open about his contempt for public education and didnt pretend he was actually there to help. I actually heard on the news the other day that educators were losing the support of Obama. What? Hope he wakes up to the understanding that its the other way around.
