Read him again. We are competing against a world where most nations are miles ahead of us on health care financing. Dems can either pass something meaningful, or lose their seats because the "people" get mad as heck at them for their betrayal of both voters and the nation as a nation.

The majority of Americans want lower premiums not higher premiums and the majority of Americans DO NOT want to pick up the health care tab for every freeloader in America. HELLO! What don't you people understand?? The elite left won't get it until the day after election day in November.

The paid lobbyists love idiots like JD of CA. No reform is money in the bank for the monopolies that are giving us the worst health care of any modern industrialized country at the highest price.
JD of CA would have us do nothing but pay through the nose and bankrupt our economy.
Grow up and learn something besides being shovel all the crape the wingnuts are feeding you.

Democrats are so obsessed with their agenda they have forgoten that passage in our Constitution. To wit: "A government by the people for the people". The people's MAJORITY DO NOT want their version.

This issue has been debated to death but the fundamental problem remains that the US Health costs are in a death spiral dragging the economy down and handicapping US business to be competitive with the rest of industrial world, that has health care costs under control. Get a clue that this is exclusively an American problem to keep cost under control. American business will not be able to compete with the rest of the modern world that has reasonable heath care, ask our auto or aviation manufacturers.
Democrats should just push through health care reform through reconciliation. Everyone knows Republicans will never offer any health care reforms and never have done anything to control costs of health care.
