Romney Book a Fitting Prelude to 2012 Presidential Run

His supporters say the book will show Romney is more thoughtful than Sarah Palin

Friends of Mitt Romney say his upcoming book, No Apology: The Case for American Greatness, is a lengthy and detailed explanation of his philosophy and should be a fitting prelude to a 2012 presidential campaign if Romney decides to run. The book, which comes out March 2, seems designed to position Romney as a thoughtful conservative who has ruminated carefully about the major issues of the day, ranging from the global economy to national security.

Romney supporters say it will serve as a conservative contrast to the views of President Obama but also will show Romney to be far more thoughtful than former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who is also considering a 2012 run. Her book, Going Rogue, is a bestseller, but it has apparently done little to improve her reputation as a thinker and a leader who can reach out beyond her conservative base and master the complicated challenges of national office.

Romney is the former GOP governor of Massachusetts and was an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. He says he hasn't decided yet whether to run again in 2012. His book tour, however, will take him to some key states, including Iowa, which holds the first nominating caucuses.

It would be a much seller if Romney will change the title of the book as "NO APOLOGIES FOR BEING A FENCE SITTING GOP LEADER."

It would be more realistic if Romney would be brave enough to write about his failures as governor of Massachusetts. No matter how many books will published, I, along with my friends and relatives in Florida and Massachusetts, still prefer Sarah Palin in 2012 than him and rest of the GOP RINOS.

Dan of Ca. if you read through the posts, it was Romney himself who said he used the F* word back while he was in high school in the early sixties. Kids did not use that word back that early. That is when smoking on the corner could get one expelled, girls wore skirts and boys slacks, no jeans. Shame on that LDS boy Romney, his mother should not have allowed such bad language even seasoned cussers didn't use!

Anything else is documented. The man being tailed as a 'terrorist' because he disagreed with Romney is ALL documented. It is on film, it is with files from law enforcement.

Anti-mormon -- give it up, people can disagree, and have concerns.

By the way Dan of Ca. National Enquirer was very creditable with Edwards, maybe Romney will be their next!

Dan goes with what he thinks, not what is FACTS.

I did not learn about the Romneys from Huck supporters.

Romneys call everyone who don't like him Huck supporters, it makes Romney feel persecuted, Romney likes feeling persecuted, while he is persecuting others.

I doubt the man Romney set up on a terrorist list is a Huck supporter, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l07qpHR1UQ Although, I am sure Romney does have all Huck supporters on his terrorist list and anyone else who disapproves of Romney.

Romney has a long history of pushing people around, using the F* word (Really? In high school in the early sixties? The good little LDS boy was using the F* word? Romney was ahead of the time, since most high school kids weren't, because their parents will smack their behind)

Romney ill temper has gotten him in lots of trouble, if he was another person, or candidate and wasn't under SLC protect of No touch. Romney arrest in MA. and being handcuffed for going out of control when he didn't get his way. Huntsville tantrum, AND not to forget jumping out a window at Crambrook, because a 'man' was in his room. Sure, there was Romney. No one found nothing -- trying to get your parents attention? Drama queen? Maybe a vision?
