I just wanted to say that I voted for the Health Care bill before I voted against it. Sen Reid

Sen Reid we the voters of Nevada are waiting for you in November.

Joker of NV 4:03PM January 25, 2010

The current health bill, either side, would raise the average persons tax's by approximately 9.7% per month. Now take the average State's tax on many every day goods and anyone can understand that logic has left the white house and capitol hill faster than most have H1N1 health problems.

When you have two side's with any subjective agenda, with one main preemies; that would cause harm to everyone except themselves. They will willingly choose harm to the commoner/Average worker. Does the president pay for health care for himself or his family? Not from the day he places his hand on the bible and is sworn in. Nor do his wife or children ever. When he retires, he is still covered and paid.

Nothing that Obama has said would happen while out campaigning has happened yet, Nothing. No health reform, No new Job's, and the news every night talks about his first 365 days in office.

The only thing that has happened in 365 days time, is Obama received the Noble Peace Prize and a $1,000,000 Check. For what? does anyone really know?

I am 87 years of age And have publicly declared renunciation of all claim or possible claim to medicare benefits as the premiums, co payments and deductibles have made medical care unaffordable. when applied to the costs that the service providers have used medicare's deep pocket to justify raising costs to where the above combined items render all care unaffordable . I shall refuse to pay any compulsory insurance tax ! They may drag my wretched frame to jail before I'll five them one dam cent. The government should never have become involved in this

Since the Massachusetts health care mandate took effect, the price of a health insurance plan in Massachusetts has gone up considerably to pay for those who are left uninsured (not only the cost of the plan, co-payments have doubled and now there are deductibles applied of $250 per person and $750 per family for HMO and PPO plans. This is not supposed to happen. Deductibles are assigned to comprehensive plans, not HMO or PPO plans. Those who have insurance in Massachusetts cannot afford to go to the doctor. A visit to a primary care doctor was set at $10 a year ago, it is now $30! I was recently told by my primary care physician that $20 more in my co-payment would cover the cost of the insurance paid visit. Those uninsured are not only the poor, but one owner small businesses. Most of these businesses make just enough to not qualify for a subsidy but yet cannot afford a market rate plan. So what happens to the small business guy? They go without health insurance and are penalized through increased taxes. This is not something we want to do to our small businesses or the people of Massachusetts, never mind the nation. Someone will always have to pay for those who are not covered. If we can't cover everyone it will not work. Better to share the cost between everyone in society to cover everyone than to leaving the cost of covering everyone to those who are insured. It is shameful to belong to such a rich, industrialized nation to not provide health insurance as a right of an individual and not a privilege.

Driving is a privilege, you can choose not to drive, or in some states, to self-insure.

The Federal government has no authority to impose a tax on the act of being born.

This will not stand and they know it.

However they also know that by the time it works it s way to the supreme court, they will have been collecting taxes for years. Look it up, the payroll tax increases are immediate and the funds are not held in a "lockbox"

This is a desperate gambit to increase federal revenue, period.

She will bargain to give the cadilac union members a pass on healthcare costs because the comocrats need the union votes to stay in their 'pay-to-play' offices.

When compulsary auto insurance went into effect it was needed to protect OTHERS who were INNOCENT AND THE INNOCENT WERE PROTECTED. This is not the case with health insurance and there is no outside intity subject to losing all not of their doing. Let nt "OUR" government force yet another yoke around our respective necks.

I would venture these following statements as being fairly accurate and unbiased appraisal of life in America now and into the future. We are now witnessing the amalgm of both political parties into one party in execution and deed. The United Socialist States of America is the new acronym which is very appropriate. Both parties are sellouts to the same corrupt political system. Average Americans have fallen asleep at the switch and have no one to blame but themselves.

We have voted these scoundrels into office time and time again. Einstein once said, "Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing!" What, it takes a genius to point out the obvious? Obama and Bush, Democrats and Republicans are two opposites of the same coin. They both look at taxpayers with contempt as the ignorant masses to be taken advantage of.

The 787 billion dollar bank bailout was a Ponzi type scheme meant to bilk generations of Americans for tax money to cover businesses and politicians risky behavior. I see plenty of hard working Americans losing homes, jobs and families. What have the rich lost? What have the banks lost? What have these self same white collar suited theives lost? They have all gained from the economic bailouts.

While all of us average Americans have lost our shirts and then some. Are we not being turned into Serfs like during the dark ages? Who will pay back all of the trillions of dollars of debt? Do not delude yourself into thinking it won't be the average American taxpayer. As an example was not this country founded with one of the primary principles being property or land ownership? Who can afford to pay a mortgage which is over inflated with non existent well paying jobs? Who invented balloon mortgage payments, who turned a blind eye to these Ponzi schemes so that property taxes could be collected?

Who owns the property, the land, the homes? The banks, not the average man, the common man. You and me are left scrounging for sustenance, while the bankers, money traders and political elite live high on the hog! Ask yourself this question, when a citizen losses his mortgage, he losses his home. Who gains from this? Does the bank lose the property? No it does not, it shows as a loss in financial statements, yet they own it, it's in their possession. Does the government lose it's property tax? Perhaps in the short term. In the long run they always get their pound of flesh.

I ask all of you, who wins in the end in this present climate of greed for the past 30-40 years? The government and its political elite. Anyone who holds public office. They have their jobs, health insurance, pensions etc. When was the last time you saw a government worker give up pension benefits, insurance or wages?

Who's gaining and who's lossing economic ground is the question every American should be asking themselves?

Most law-abiding citizens will be insured, but due to the coercive attempt to force this, one voter will be going without voter registration.

The day the United States government starts forcing formerly free citizens to enter into contracts with private entities, that's the day this currently registered voter refuses to help elect any of these idiots.

May the issue make it all the way the way to the Supreme Court to see if it's even constitutional to force this issue.

It's obvious the Dems just voted into office by a electorate that was pissed off about the direction of our country and the Republican agenda of Wars of chioce, zero humaniterian morals, and completelt one sided tax codes to benefit the rich. Dems showed up in record numbers exspecially the young 20 something who had never come out in numbers seen in this last election.

You would think with so much political capital after the election the Dems could get some bills and reforms that appeal to their progressive base which is what got the Dems into the majority regardless of what the moderate dems think. But so far we've been given a backroom deal with the Pharm companies, socialist bank bailout for the rich, and appoligies from our congressmen about why they have to sellout the working class to get health reform.

And to call the Senate bill reform at all is just a insult to the intelligence of every working man. The Senate bill is nothing more then bandages on a crappy healthcare system.

With all the fear in America about terrorism, I'm interested how the media is going to spin it when a homeghrown America Christian gets pushed to the brick that he walks into a K-Street lunch place and blows up a vest bomb. Are we going to call him Al-Quaeda too?

What are American working class suppose to do anymore when the officials they get elected do nothing for theis concerns and bow down to lobbist bribe money at every turn.

I heard someone refer to the parties the other day as Republi-Crates because he said both parties are both soldout. Personally i couldn't agree more with that assesment, expecially after reading that RollingStone articale Obama Sellout.

If this Senate health bill passes i see the end of the Democratic Party as a contender in any election non-existant for the next 30 years. This Senate bill will demoralise all the Dems base expecially the 20 something that where the real reason why the Dems won in the last election so dominately.

You tell me how your going to get a jobless 20 something with a new mandate insurance bill disporportionate to their medicale issues to come out and support the Democratic party in future elections?

This Administration with control in both houses for the 1st tine in 30+ years has done nothing but given handout to Wall Street and Lobbist at every opprotunity. I think the American people expect this type of giveaways by Republican Administrations such as Bush's, but if this is the norm for Dem Administration for the future. Then the poor and working class might as well start rioting in the streets. Maybe we should go back to mob menalities and hold public hangings of bankers CEO's and congressmen caught taking bribes from lobbist.
