Opium is their source of income. Our good-ole-boy Christian Coalitionisters and Moral Majorites love to spray the poisons and taint the wells, but have no interest in the monetary losses, physical deterioration, and degredation of pride these folks subsequently suffer from.
The Chinese love the Opium. Just ask the Brits and the Vietnamese.

Agreed -"change",for lack of a better word is needed & a good idea .Let's start with a two pronged policy of first chemically destroying the opium fields & raw opium stockpiles .Next- implement the policy of "No Quarter" on the battlefield-though it never has been in the U.S. military tradition,this the language these warlords/drug merchants/oppressors of women will understand.
