I am so sick of hearing about his jetsetting around the globe while the average American is struggling. I can't wait to vote him out of office.

The US has an all-time high deficit. The President has admonished all citizens that we have to do our part to conserve everything, not just money. One instance of this is noted in a previous comment. Despite this I see comments and opinions that this is justified.
I can’t understand it.
I agree that he needs a getaway but he there is a much more cost effective option available, Camp David. According to Wikipedia “Camp David, is a mountain-based military camp in Frederick County, Maryland used as a country retreat of the President of the United States and his guests”. This sounds like it fits the bill to me, and it does, but apparently not good enough for the first family. Too bad. The taxpayers get to pick-up the expense of the support staff and security which is most of the cost, and it is substantial.
I have to agree with the previous comment that this is hypocrisy at its best.

I guess he should fly there "commercial". Has everyone forgotten he is the president and needs to be protected? Why would he fly any other way? Those CEO's were flying in on expensive plans asking for money, not quite the same. Too funny!

It must be real tough to fly all around the world "jet setting it" on the public dime. Lets see how many people, jets/planes, military, secret service agents, staff, etc. have to go with this joke of a president and at what cost? To Copenhagen Denmark twice, etc.
This is ridiculous!!! When is enough, enough? This man knows no limits because he just doesn't care about the average joe citizen. Average joe is just a tax dollar figure for his out of control spending and the crooked congress.
Transparency, an open office and change we can belive in. The only change we can belive in is that Obama and his thugs will destroy what is left of America.
Or maybe he will just have history rewritten online so its more positive for himself and his crooked czars.

After strenuous one year, the new president needs to relax and reenergize actions to problems of war, economy and healthcare.

I know how special it is for me to travel thousands of miles to visit my "home town" and have a chance to experience the visual and auditory sounds related to my childhood and youth.
In Hawaii it is called R & R (rest and recovery!

"...I,like many Americans am having a tough go during these harsh economic times but I have to say that with all the demands and pressures put on President Obama,he's due a little time off for relaxtion and rest,if for no other reason than his well-being.Someone asked who's paying for this?I'm sure the taxpayers are,but here is a man who is supposedly donating the over one million dollars prize money he he won as part of the award to charity. So I personally must say,"enjoy yourself Mr.President."I have much more of a problem with former members of Congress who were convicted as felons while still in office, due in large part to the position they held itself, who are able to collect pensions as former members of Congress, where it sometimes goes into the hundreds of thousands.Ridiculous..."

Anyone remember this quote from our illustrious President?
“You can’t get corporate jets. You can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayer’s dime.”
