as an outsider looking at america as it is today I cannot understand why your military allows anyone of islamic faith to inlist to defend america from other fellow moslems in other other parts of the world. What wisdom is this??

Proof that we have to FINISH IT in Afghanistan.only the most naive fools will continue to just wish for peace. As history teaches peace comes after the military victory-only then will you safely dream with both eyes closed.

Many, many questions yet to be answered. If the shooter survives, maybe he will supply some although it is evident that as a Jordanian by descent and Muslim he is adamantly against the US war against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. He made it plain he did not want to deploy and maybe wanted out of the Army. I heard that because the Army had a lot of money invested in his education that was one of the reasons his requests were denied. If so, it was an expensive decision--lots of our national treasure gone. And why was he shipped to Fort Hood from Walter Reed if he had a poor-performance evaluation. Top-notch people should be at Fort Hood. (Incidentally, Army posts are "Posts," not "Bases.") He apparently planned to do the shooting if his deployment became certain. If there are a lot of soldiers and other military of Muslim faith, is it out of line for these individuals to be questioned to be sure they can separate the faithful from the radical. Another question for me is: why are weapons such as the "cop-killer" available for purchase by anyone and are the gun dealers required to report such purchases and if they are not, should they be? No, I am not in favor of gun control, but this weapon is really scary. Another thing, as a psychiatrist I would think his duty assignment would be to a hospital--it seems the likelihood that he would have to shoot another Muslim would be rather remote.

Get real. This was a terrorist attack, by an Islamist wacko. When will Americans realize they are infidels, not really worthy of the bullets needed to kill them, or the explosives to blow them up. Start reading the Koran, read what the Islamic leaders have said and are saying in those Mosques.

Okay, way I see it, after this guys recuperates, we give him a free full-on sex change, surgery, hormones, everything. Then we treat him to a tattoo application of eye shadow and lipstick to pretty him up. Them we incarcerate him in a "Supermax" and make him available for "dates" among the population thereof. Sweet!

It's ALL in the Bible."Wars & Rumors of war".....The problem with the USA today is we have forgotten that, We have lost &'or forgotten we were founded by men grounded in their faith,

I just read an article on "The New Yorker" on the same subject and I found it extremely superficial and politically correct.

All the media including the press are totally blind even in front of the evidence. The truth is that we are under attack and this is only the beginning. So much hatred is preached in the muslim school and mosques and so much indoctrination against the western civilization that impedes any integration. The problem is really serious and can not be solved turning a blind eye on it.Geert Wilders just said that "where Islam sets up roots freedom dies" And violence occures We reject the idea of a world caliphate under shariah law because we love our democracy and our ideals of tollerance and religious pluralism.

First let us use the term "terrorism" by its own name without using euphemisms.

Given the murderer's Dark Ages mentality and that of his silent cheering section around the country, here is the bizarre execution method that might be helpful. 1. hung with a rope tainted by swine's blood...2.buried in a shallow grave covered with pig entrails...3.allow wild dogs to unearth and consume the remains! Those Dark Ages were sure dark!

The killer is not suffering from PTSD. He is suffering from the affects of a violent, primative superstition. That is what jihad is and nothing else. I'm not buying the ticket that CNN and company are selling about this murderer's actions. The elaborate and exotic explanations offered today deny the words he screamed as he "killed infidels". We're going to loose the war against jihadist because so many are too cowardly to face the truth.
