Christie is espousing the exact policies that caused the mess we are in. He would take our tax dollars out of the public school system, the best school system in the country and give them to Charter Schools, thinly veiled religious schools.

The last republican governor we had, Christine Todd Whitman, bankrupted the State. Even that moron McGreevy figured out in about two days that she cooked the books. Christie is cut from the same cloth. Willing to cut taxes below the level of operating expesnses then borrowing to pay to keep the government running. So we pay the cost plus interest.

Christie is a part of the group that brought us this recession. Every single time republican economic policies have been put into place they have causeed a recession.

The last thing we need in this country is more republicans. They have failed on every level and Christie is just another incompetent republican hack.

VOTE CORZINE

John Devine of NJ 10:09AM October 22, 2009

I'm an independent so no Republican/Bush supporter here, but I really have to laugh at some of the comments here.

Man, people can justify anything! So now I get it, Jon Corzine screwed New Jersey and is the worst Governor in NJ's history because of George W Bush. Of course. That makes perfect sense! lol.

Yes, that darn Bush. I broke a fingernail this morning and it's all his bloody fault!

Please people. This is an important election. Forget your party ties. Corzine needs to go. Daggett is just a spoiler and a vote for Corzine. Vote with your head. Vote with a conscience.

Vote Christie.

Linda of NJ 11:09AM October 21, 2009

NJ is a blue state and my fear is that despite the fact the Corzine is a total disaster and needs to be ousted, the majority of New Jerseyans will just follow their party and re-elect this bumbling, corrupt and distructive fool.

I'm an Independent, but will not vote Daggett. He's a spoiler and a vote for him, is a vote for Corzine. Just remember that people.

Corzine needs to go!! He's ruining (already ruined) our State. Forget your party affiliations. We need to clean house. There is too much at stake.

Independents, Democrats and Repulicans, take a stand and don't be sheep. Vote with your head. And PLEASE don't be emotionally swayed by Obama's support to Corzine. It's just politics folks. Nothing more.

Corzine is a train wreck Get him out! Save NJ and vote with a purpose - Vote Christie.

Linda of NJ 10:44AM October 21, 2009

Well, what a thing. When will Don and Jianna come to understand that just about every state in the union has a budget deficit because of the deep recession left by President Bush. Why blame Corzine? Nobody wants to pay taxes but everybody want to drive on good roads, play in clean parks, drive over safe bridges and have their children in decent schools. Come on folks, you have to bite the bullet. It was left by Bush who left for the bushes of Texas.

If you are sick of the spending go to England. You will find that they are spending to get out of the recession. Or you may want to go to Ireland. There you will find the same. Maybe you may want to go to France or Germany. There the same thing is hppening. I suggest you go to the moon. There is no tax there; no water and no roads. Stay there; do not come back.

Moe Man of MD 3:25PM October 20, 2009

This guy Corzine thinks he is some kind of super elite rich guy who can buy his way in to re election which may happen but if the weather is bad and Senior Citizens come out he will lose in my opinion

kmg of VA 6:24AM October 20, 2009

The country is sick of all the out of control spending...NJ will be the beginiing of a revolt.

Don Freshley of MO 6:31PM October 19, 2009

I cannot possibly support Corzine cause his plan will only lead to failure. Any politician that 'thinks' or 'projects' budget shortfall or gains should be fired for making mystical predictions as to what is happening out here. All of the taxes in NJ will continue to rise ill-regardless from unions to government employee that savor more lavish benefits from the ever shrinking private employment and small businesses. All I ever wanted for me and my children was to live gracefully without the state tax man shoving more abuse against my family. From this November I will vote for Chris Christie and not for Jon Corzine.

Jianna Hughs of NJ 4:38PM October 19, 2009

Daggett has shown Christie to be insincere and just plain uninformed on the important issues facing NJ. He has exposed Christie's lack of a plan, forcing Christie to adopt Corzine's plan with one major exception - Christie wants to give massive tax breaks to the super rich. Can we afford to go with Christie? Not IMHO.
