I am a new Mason at Jephtah Lodge 222 and I am encountering nothing but kindness compassion for all beings intelligence wisdom faith and great patriotism! There is,honestly, nothing shady here..only light and honorable goals. We are here to help humanity and all other God's creatures.We donate and contribute our time to more charitable groups than all other fraternities combined and that I admit makes me proud. I am so sad that the Church criticizes us and browbeats masons in it's congregations into leaving,choosing 'them' or 'us' as we love and honour the same God and help EVERYBODY! The 'rituals' are not more than history lessons and character development tools. Talking 'politics' and 'religion' are not allowed in the lodge. It's all about ' how can i/we HELP today! If anyone tells you bad things about Freemasonry,they are prevaracating or themselves victims of prevaracation. I Love You. WE LOVE YOU.

Pretty intresting knowing that USA and especially DC is such a masonic place.. Moroever, it's equally intresting the opinion that Dan Brown gives in his book..
Do the masons are a secret society hidden from the "true governents" (not the politics) of this world, who have its goal to protect the human race????
Or the lost symbol is just a book to make as feel good and easy about the masonary, so they can keep ruling the world in the awfull way it is ruled today??
I have to object the point of the first commenter, cause i thing that masons and illuminaty are completly different societies, althoug both are secret. But I also have to agree that if Devil and God trully exist, then nowdays its pretty ovius that Devil is not only rulling, but he is accepted in all his forms as a paradigm of virtue..
One thing is sure, that this book is amazing.. It is a must read novel. Excitment, quick movement of scenes, rich descriptions and a lot of mystical facts are a part of an trully exciting storie...
PS: I DO NOT WANT TO SEE TOM HUNGS PLAYING THE AWSUME ROLE OF Dr. LANGDON... AND IF SOMEONE MAKES IT A MOVIE, PLZ DON'T BE A STUPID MOVIE LIKE AN INTERVIEWING 2-3 ROLES WITH SOME SPECIAL EFFECTS, LIKE THE ILLUMINATY.. THE BOOK HAS IT ALL WRITTEN, IT JUST NEEDS TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO A MOVIE, WORD BY WORD..

From the look of things, I have come to this conclusion. All famous actors, all famous musicians, and all politicians who make it in these industries, are Masons. If you want to make it (be successful and famous) in any of those areas, then you must become a Mason. And the puppet masters (the Illuminati) have a plan for this world and that plan is to deceive it. To turn people away from God the Creator and to worship the created (man). And the ultimate puppet master at the top of the food chain is the devil himself. This is a subtle thing. As you go through the Masonic ranks earning honor of men, you eventually learn and accept the deception that Lucifer is god. (SHHHHHH) All Masonic actors, All Masonic musicians, and all Masonic politicians are controlled by the Illuminati. The Illuminati is controlled by the devil and his demons. Open your eyes and take a look around.. Things are not what they seem. If you're not convinced, consider the fact that the initiation into the Mormons, the Masons, and to be a witch in a coven are all the same. Ive researched this. Pray to God and ask Him to open your eyes to these things. Come out of the matrix so to speak.. God bless you ..

What I know about the masons, I've learned from Dan Brown's new book.
I had now idea there were so many masonic ties in our government. At this point, the organization seem harmless and possably even helpful. Very interesting and mystical to say the least. By the way,The Lost Symbol is a very interesting read. It makes me want to see Washington DC. I've never been interested in it (or any other city) before reading this book.

If the organization has Charles Rangel as a member, then I definitely do NOT want to be associated with the organization. This guy is a genuine rouge and should be in a Federal jail for stealing, lying and doing all he can to rob from the American public. The organization needs to eliminate him from being a member. He is a disgust to the American public!!

From what i see, they are men who gather, do civic things, run hospitals and are pretty much out in the open. The ones i have met seem pretty solid and like people who make things happen in towns and cities...i don't think they are nefarious.

Got a message for you Joan of Arc: modern Biblical scholarship has realised that the number of the beast is actually 616 not 666. Where does that leave your careful calculations? To be honest, if after a trawl through the whole of human history you can only find three events to support that claim it makes you look like what you are: misguided. (Oh yes - and you can't spell either. The word is "Coincidence").
