War is war. The democrats seem more concerned with terrorist rights than protecting America. what else is new.

As the President of the United States is really great! As a junior I would like to be considered an improvement step is to develop, with the cheers of the public be considered is the development, there is the development of all countries for support!

What goes around... comes around.

The NeoCon position is that laws don't apply anymore, at least not to themselves.

The Constitution is just laws that hold our country together - if we don't follow the laws we don't have anything.

More than ever we need to find out what the hell these clowns have been doing behind our backs and ferret out crimes against the Constitution. After we get our hands around the extent of the criminal activity, I have no problem giving amnesty to the lackies following orders, but the instigators at the top need to be brought to bear. Mr Cheney sure seems like he's got something to hide, and most Americans would agree they couldn't trust this cad further then they could spit. Its time to reconcile the lies of the past administration with reality which they never seemed to be part of.

I think we should give raises to those that torture enemies of America... you liberals are a bunch of wimps. When Obama's destruction of America is complete and there is anarchy, I am going to eat you first.

Rob of CA 7:21AM August 31, 2009

NO PARDONS for those committing torture. Perhaps immunity if they give evidence against the real war criminals Dick Cheney, George Bush, Judge Jay Bybee, Alberto Gonzales, and John Yoo.

I acted in good faith, relying on bad advice that said as long as I gave the police officer my auto insurance information, I didn't need to have the actual certificate with me. And do you know what? I got a ticket. And when I called the Court and said I "acted in good faith" and "relied on bad counsel" and now I "would like to move forward" and "not look back". "I have important things to do" and don't think I should have to go to Court. The short of it is the Court Clerk thought I was nuts, and I had to go to Court and see a Judge.

There must be accountability for all the members of the Bush Crime family.

As long as I can remember, liberals would rather criminalize a policy than follow the law. And self-defense is one of an individual or nation's most basic. Especially when fighting an enemy that is stateless, and therefore can't/won't agree to terms like the Geneva Convention.

Lou of PA 3:30PM August 30, 2009

This may have escaped Holder, but the US does have the right to self defense. When terrorists are flying aircraft and passengers into buildings and killing innocent men, women and children we do have a right to interrogate them.

In the Revolutionary War, WWI, WII, etc. non-uniformed enemy spies (even unarmed) were hanged or shot after capture and interrogation. Or have we lost the right to defend ourselves?

If so, how long before our enemies are emboldened?

What we need to remember is that outside our borders the world is a very mean place where rules are very different (i.e non-existent). It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it and I'm glad there is somebody doing it.

An ex "chickenhawk" VP who dodged the draft cannot convince me an ex-Vet who first went in in April of 1952 and finally mustered out in February 1973 that going beyond the Geneva Convention idea that forcing someone to say anything beyond "Name, Rank, Serial Number and Date of Birth" if in the Military or anything at all without Counsel if not, that he believes in our Constitution or International law.

It would be a delight to me if he and his ilk wind up in an International Spandau type prison.
