When Leadership steps up and joins all other American

Sr.'s and signs up for the Draconian rules proposed for

their counterparts around the country, then we may be

able to "trust" their assurances.

As it is, they have exempted almost everybody from their

special interest groups and placed this onerous plan upon

every one of the rest of us.

American grandparents, Veterans, Heroes...None of us

are worth the extra money to cover health care, as opposed

to health insurance, with no care and no health.

NO CHOICE, just the Govt. Mandate.

Of course we don't want it, and we will fight to retain

our Freedoms without Govt. interference.

We are the generation of NO BAILOUTS, Responsible, Tax

payers who played by the rules. (Proof no good life

goes unpunished)

If we become ill, not only will we be denied care, we will

not be allowed to seek it out independently.

UNLIKE, the "revered" on the left, TEDDY, we will

not have care for our ailments. UNLIKE all of our "honest"

and "fair" public servants who are cramming this down our

throats, we will have no care!!

If you want national health care create an association and invite your buddies to pay the bills. Exclude those who oppose it.

I think that it would be best for all of us if we could have a public healthcare system like the one our government provides for our veterans. The service that is provided to our vetrens is good and cost effective.

In the richest country in the world we do not live as long or heaalthy lives as those in other developed countrys, and in some cases even some third world countries.

I frequently hear the Obama healthcare system refered to as being sociolistic, Denmark has a sociolist government and public healthcare system and when surveys are taken to determine the happyest country in the world Denmark places first.

I think that many of the people who object to the Obama planare not well informed and aer opposed to a plan that would be in their own best interests.

Perhaps it is the insuernce companies that object to this plan, they would loose a lot of money and would not be able to make money every time any person in this country became ill or had an accident. I think that we should have a public healthcare system that would have high standards of care and would make every effort to prevent illness and accidents and to cure illnesses and not just treat them in order to get rich selling drugs.

Barney Frank got it just right! And he didn't have to stand and read it from a printed page, it just came out spontaneously! We need more Americans like Barney Frank. We may not all agree on every detail, but there are a great many of us out there in that "firmly holding center" that feel like he felt at that minute.

While the woman's remarks and photo were inapropriate so was Barney Frank's response. He could have politely said: "I want to hear your concerns but unfortunately, I am offended by your Nazi remark and the photo you hold. Could you please put it down so we can talk?" It takes an adult to handle contentious situations. This "my way or the highway" Barney Frank is NOT what America needs now.

I had hoped for some bipartisanship with this administration but all I've seen so far is Democrats inflaming separation.

Prestru of NH 9:40AM August 21, 2009

Thats funny coming from the administration who said "never waste a good crisis" and whose own tactics come straight out of fear mongering 101.

Healthcare system needs work... Tort reform is critical to reducing the cost of malpractice insurance and the de facto requirement to practice "defensive medicine". Moving away from fee for service which encourages more treatment of acute cases. Getting the freeloaders and illegal immigrants out of the emergency rooms (and not just down the street to a government subisidized free clinic). These would all help fix healthcare without a government take over of healthcare and healthcare insurance.

Seriously, do you really want the entities who can't take care of the native americans and veterans responsible for your healthcare? Its pure delusion.

Us non-Republicans should wonder aloud what planet DO Republicans come from.

I commend Rep. Barney Frank on his remarks. He has always stood his ground in a way that has made me, a heterosexual woman of 60 yrs so very proud to be an American. Oh, and his sexual lifestyle has nothing to do w/his great work ethic. Keep do the great job Rep. Barney Frank!

DaMadSquirrel Jaramogi of VA 5:57PM August 20, 2009

Good for Representative Frank. In fact good for anyone one who has the courage to challenge and refute comments made by some of these knuckle dragging fist pounders who use scare tactics instead of facts to state their case. I myself am getting a little sick of the lies and distortions coming from the anti reformers. Of course they have no ideas at all to counter. But then that would mean coming up with facts, and why let facts stand in the way of a good scare tactic.

Well if anyone should know what vile is it would be barney frank. It doesn't get any more vile then his life choices
