The resolution asserts that Prop. 8, because it strips a minority group. lets get this straight, homosexuals are not a minority group and trhey have never been given a minority status in this country. Homosexuals are not a race of people. Your sexual oreintation cannot be a minority group...

Were in the bible do it say that god call it an abomination. If they want to get married let them. It is none of our bussiness. It's not like you they one getting married to the same sex. I just think that everyone should get the same oppurtuninty no matter what they are or who they are. They are all god;s children wheter we accept it our not.

By the way, I have gay friends, but Im not gay. Although to be fair, Im borderline bisexual. I support gay rights, but I don't expect any of you bigots to overcome your insecurity and be okay with gays being who they are

Just throwing this out there: The Bible has been editted a lot since it was "originally" written. Just because books in the current Bible condemns gay marriage doesn't mean there isn't a book that says it's ok. Chances are that somewhere in the Vatican library, there's gosepl,epsitle, etc which states that gay right isn't a sin. Also, you have to realize that it was written by humans. Last I checked, we're not God. Just because it says it was written in God's words, doesn't make it true. Some bigoted zealot could totally have made up a lot of the Bible. Plus, the Bible is fairly contradictory. All in all, we can never be sure what, if anything in the "Good Book" is true

listen, God has judged the homosexual, he has called it an abomination. When you get saved you are forgiven of your sins and you start a new life in God. the bible says that"old things" are passed away and all things are new. If you are homosexual and you come to know jesus as your savior then you are a new creature. Those sins from before are forgiven, and your new life begins. The person you were is no longer, and yopu are now a child of God in the most awesome way. being a new creature the "old" you is no longer and niether should the abomination of homosexuality be in your life. What you do is you gave up the sinfulness of homosexuality to begin new as different perosn without those things in your life. Just because you get saved does not take the abomination out of homosexuality. if you continue in that lifestyle then you were never really saved. People tend to label God as this loving God and He is that, but he is also a just God that will do things as his word says. His word says that homosexuality is an abomination and getting saved does not change that. learn to read the Bible with a open mind to what it really says and not just what you want it to say. this is not something that you can interpet but one way. if you get saved and continue in homosexuality then you are not really saved.

honestly, im christian too but this is a hot topic for me. see i know it says in the bible that homosexuality is a sin but i just cant see it that way. it is wrong to discriminate against someone for being who they are. and it really ticks me off that so many chirstians condemn people for being gay. they should be condemning themselves for being judgemental. it is not their right to judge it is GOD'S RIGHT! what they should be doing is loving and accepting EVERYONE the way God wants them to. how many people have they saved by saying "youre a sinner... repent now and your soul will be saved." probably none. that is NOT the way to spread God's love. you spread love by showing love yourself! not condemning!
NO ONE SHOULD EVER BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST FOR SIMPLY BEING WHO THEY ARE!
and for those of you who may say im not a real christian i say to you that is none of your concern. it is between me and God and were doing great!
and everyone out there fighting for equality i say to you: keep on trucking cuz as soon as all the hardcore conservative people die out it will be made a reality. IT WILL HAPPEN it is just a matter of when! you all have my love, supposrt, prayers, and hopes!

What puzzles me is how these "so called Christians" can justify their hate and bigotry. No one has the right to claim marriage as "their given right" simply because they are "straight, and then do their best to deny it to others. Isn't part of being a so-called Christian to treat others as they would like to be treated?
I pay taxes, do my part in civic duties and I deeply resent this attempt to take away my rights as given by the California Supreme Court by bigoted factions in organized religion - in particular the Mormons.
If you want to take away my rights - then take away all my taxes - taxes that I pay at a higher rate to help support the heterosexual breeders and their offspring.
Enough is enough - no more double standards, no more blatant discrimination by those who "claim" to know god's will. They're in for a big surprise when they have a very "warm welcome" when they cross over.
I'll "pray for them"

you say you are a christian, and thats great but exactly what god has saved you. do you really know? the bible calls homosexuality an abomination, not just in the old testament but also in the new testament. for a man to lay with another man or for 2 women to do the same is wrong. nature should teach you that in and of itself, but for some reason homosexuals want to ignore that fact. if it was natural for to men to have sex or 2 women then those couples would be able to produce children. the last time I checked men do not have vaginas and therefore cannot conceive to bear children just a 2 women cannot. I apologize for not having the scriptual references that I speak of because I do not have my bible with me where I am. as a christian you should look it and do some research on it. the bible says that when we are saved old things are passed away and all thing become new. if you were truely saved you would change your ways and lifestyle to something that is not an abomination to God. simple because you are saved does not forgive the sinful, un-natural lifestyle you have. if someone has told you that , then you were misled. I am sure you or others will post back that I am closed-minded as that is what most people do when that have no real position to stand on, and do not like someone challenging thier lifestyle. I am not here to judge you, but do you really want to stake your eternal life on some persons wrong interpetation of what the word of God says about your lifestyle?
I am glad that prop8 was passed simply because it upholds the common beliefs that God setup when this world was created. someone posted here that a persons 1 vote did not matter but the votes of many did, and the passing of prop8 proved that. Now its up to the gay community to either change thier lifestyle or be prepared for more defeats to thier immoral way of living. if does not set well with you then I suggest that you be on one of the many planes, trains, cars, or boats that leave here everyday, we do not need you.

I laugh at your remarks you are a silly woman who is so closed minded that you are honestly the ignorant one in this case. I am a christian and I am straight. I am not bi-sexual and I am not a lesbian. I am currently doing a study for school and I rolled across your little comment. I can obviously see that you are very proud of yourself for submitting your little ballot lol but the one thing you do not realize is that your ballot doesn't really matter. I realize the law did not pass but who the hell cares people are not going to stop being themselves and loving who they love. You judge and discriminate these peoples sexual orientation and just make yourself out to be a hypercritical christian person. You should seriously re-think your comments or at least how you put them into words. God loves his children all his children. Jesus Christ died on a cross for our sins. So would you die for these so called ignorant people and there sins. Maybe you should ask yourself what would jesus do lol. Stop focusing so much on these other peoples lives and focus on your own I am almost positive you have some sever issues either with your family, relationships, or mentally with in yourself. You need to find Jesus honey and I forgive you for making these ignorant comments and judging these people get your life together. People just want to be loved and your aren't showing them any. What would god think about you turning people away from him. Your suppose to spread the word in a good way. Well you know what one day you will be judged yourself by god almighty and hopefully he doesn't judge you as harshly as you have judged others. I pray for your soul
