For too long now the republican platform has been too weak on substance in not stressing to the American voters that we - the republicans - stand for small government, lower taxes, term limits, and end to Congressional Relief Action Programs...CRAP!

Frankly, it's high time the parties went away in favor of patriots who are duty bound to preserve the tenets of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, the constituents (for whom they work) and the president.

The President proposes and the congress disposes, therefore since we have bloated government, high taxes, loss of founding principles to greed, graft in the form of "political contributions", lobbying, etc., it's because they want it that way, therefore NEVER vote for either an incumbant or a democrat...and the liberal republicans do not exist since if they claim to be such they're lying through their yellow, cigar stained, teeth because he who claims to be a liberal republican is sucking up to the conservative voters while voting and supporting the radicals, otherwise known as democrats.

My dad always said: "The politician will give you something with one hand while taking it back with the other." I see evidence of that right now and if the congress would give us (U.S.) the Fair Tax the offshore money would pour into the country since the IRS would be history under the Fair Tax with the repeal of the 16th amendment. That would repair the decades of our mismanaged money and many other countries have already adopted it and are doing quite well.

When republicans fail to vote or write-in some name on the ballot they are foolish. When they vote for a third party candidate, they waste the vote - and that doesn't send any message to anyone. In Oklahoma the ballot has a black line connecting the choice - it goes into the counting machine and no hanky-panky is able to be done - absentee voting is risky, early voting is a risky and none of that should be allowed - Question: How many who voted early for Omama found out more facts close to election day and realized they made a mistake?

On way we can all help is to tell all those with whom we see that we must get the democrats our of our government. W.Wilson gave us the FED in 1913 with NO ratification...J.P.Morgan financed his election campaign. FDR prolonged the depression with schemes of hiring to get votes, only to lay off those after the election was over. LBJ gave us the Great Society, a 5-trillion dollar mistake and escalated the Vietnmam War. Carter gave away the Panama Canal and got us 13% inflation and lowsy government. JFK was not the worst of the lot. Clinton was, as my dad also said: "The World's best politican but the World's worst president. His demeaning of the office of the presidency and the Lewinsky episodes should have got him removed from office - but then, the democrats protect their own quite well!

Ronald Reagan brought us out of the Carter years quite well, but the democrats hate his memory - he made fools of them!

President Obama was elected by Independents, Reagan Democrats, Blue Dog Democrats, Republican in Name Only, Libertarians, etc. From my "Independent" perspective... the GOP stands for 1) De-Regulation of Business and 2) Regulation of Morality. The De-Regulation of Business removed consumer protections, rewarded job outsourcing and caused the economic collapse. Allowing Evangelical Christians to set the social agenda caused the "Separation of Church and State" divide over: school prayer, sex education, AIDS prevention, abortion rights, gay marriage, etc. Today the DEMS stand for working class jobs and common sense. Who knows, next election may be the opposite!

We now have a president who has advanced because of the Civil Rights movement...not because of political experience! People voted for him because he made them "feel good", and why not?...he's a good speaker! But speaking doesn't produce substance! The President's platform has already changed remarkably since his election, though, but I guess that will be attributed to the many "false starts" comment he made during his inaugural speech. And he inherited the problems from the Bush era? Yes, he did inherit a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit - so what better way to combat that than by taxing and spending on a Federal level ad infinitum! Spending in the New Administration's first 100 days has already tripled the amount of the deficit left by Bush's ENTIRE PRESIDENCY! That doesn't sound like fiscal responsibility to me. Let's also keep things in perspective...Rush L. may have been addicted to pain killers, but no-one can call him a tax cheat! How many of those do we have in the New Democratic Cabinet? And I don't agree with everything Rush and Hannity say, but their ideas would contribute more to economic recovery than idealism does...and will!

I'm all for seeing a black American as President. Next election, Bobby Jindal should run for president...maybe we could even have some Hispanic or Asian contenders in the race as well. I wouldn't care, as long as Marxist ideas and "wealth redistribution" weren't pushed. As a people, we have the responsibility to support the elderly and the developmentally disabled. Sure, give a divorced mother some financial help while she gets back on her feet...but everyone else should create their own wealth! Government shouldn't seek to ride on the backs of the innovators who create wealth - that destroys the incentive to create wealth in the first place! People shouldn't fall back on the adage "The man is keeping me down!" People choose to keep themselves down, and I would know...I grew up in a country where I was hated for the color of my skin! Didn't stop me from going to college, from continually educating myself, and from staying informed. I saw others make that claim, though...blaming "those greedy businessmen" for their woes, and looking to the government for a handout, for health coverage, and for whatever needs they had. We should be a nation where the government seeks dependency on its people, not the people on the government. Yes, we've got 'Change'...better hope it's not a change in the wrong direction!

I listen to this fool just for amusement purpose only and when i feel he is becoming too resdiculous i change the station to NPR.

I think his latest wind-bag is about this thing called individualism as it relates to self intersts...i just laugh my bum of just listening.

The days of R. Regan or even a Bush Sr are over. The Republican party is so desperate and out of touch they have a mean, fat deaf guy in charge of thier agenda. Better off courting Bill Clinton for a third term if they get a chance, at least he was fiscally conservative.

Right now, people just hear Limbaugh selling hate. What Americans want is leadership.....they want jobs, and to deal with real problems in the environment and economy. Rush will tell you Obama is going to 'tax cow farts'. Guess what....when you don't have a job and your kids are on drugs you dont care about cow fart taxes.

Here ia a party who are so desperate for leadership that now they don't even want a black american or a women for president but they run out a india imigrant as their voice for the future of this country.Bobby Jindal,Russ Winbag the drug addict and snitch is suddenly the voice of reason.Listen why don't we just put the pakistan goverment in charge they have all our tax money anyway with the help of the repubican party.Wake up people lets get on the same page good americans make this country work not foreign carpet pappers like Jindal who advanced because of civil rights or drug addicted snicthes who come out of stupors and want to challenge our president.Yes HE'S OUR PRESIDENT GOOD BAD OR INDIFFERENT SAME AS WHEN BUSH WAS PRESIDENT.

Audie of NY 10:08AM March 14, 2009

It is absolutely brilliant the way the White House has helped legitimize Rush Limbaugh as the defacto leader of the GOP. Michael Steele's floundering, flailing, and flip-flopping have been extremely helpful to the Dems as well.

If Limbaugh is the face of the GOP in the 2010 elections, the Dems will win just about any race where they can put up a candidate. Limbaugh is beloved by the right wing of the GOP and that's a very small portion of the American electorate. The vast majority of Americans see him for what he is: a mean-spirited, pompous, self-important blowhard without a shred of normal human decency.

The GOP has become a party with no core values and no compelling message because everything they stood for was proven wrong during the tragic Bush presidency. Having Limbaugh as the face of the party will only reinforce those facts.
