I think Kurt gives todays youth too much credit for intelligence.
I also firmly believe that with todays youth's vision of anarchy, they will continue to vote for the candidate who is the most anti-American.
I'm glad I'm getting old so I won't have to witness the gutting of American morals and
values and the further destruction of a once great nation. The youth of today just don't get it.

As a democratic pollster, Cornell reads much into his tea leaves... While it is arguable that John McCain failed to create any excitement among youth, a large portion of the under-40 crowd in this country disagrees with the liberal and socialist leanings of the Democratic party and Obama in particular. The current struggle between the UAW and the non-union Japanese auto plants in the south is a prime example. Try explaining to the youth of America why the price of a Chevy should include legacy union wages and the support the health care of 870,000 UAW retirees - they don't care, and vote with their pocketbook. The youth of this country read Upton Sinclair and see a million miles between "The Jungle" and the UAW, but when they read Ayn Rand they absolutely see a close comparison between "Atlas Shrugged" and the nationalization of banks and the auto industry.
